Just to gauge some opinion as i know there are a fair amount of SV owners that dont have a garage or access to one.

I am thinking of starting up a storage service for peoples bikes for when they are on holiday or away for the weekend etc.

I have the alarmed unit thats currently being used for storing insurance repair bikes, full insurance and power, so that optimates could be used for those bikes with alarms.

What do you reckon?. Would you pay £25 a week??. Poss could even do a collection and return service???

It was just a thought that occured to me driving home last night as where i used to live i had no garage and had to keep my lovely R1 outside :(

Any feedback appreciated.

And you can even get your bike serviced whilst it is there!

Sounds like a great idea - probably only appropriate for those relatively local to you. However, perhaps you could initiate agreements with other dealers with similar facilities.

Yup good idea although i am sure some would find it too much hassle!. I dont really want to rely on anyone else to look after someones bike on my recommendation only for them to mess it up - then i all comes back on me!. Unless i could find someone who i would trust 100%.

Definately... I looked into this when I got the SV- I only had space for one bike and I didn't have my full license. The best I could do was a storage place like Aardvark, which was more expensive than that.

But maybe a bigger opportunity, winter storage... I know some people do that already but a good dry unit, with proper mechanics to winterise the bikes right... People'd pay for that I think.
