:(

See when you said new cage, heres me thinking of a fully welded in rollcage, or prehapes a full chromed show cage...

Lower it about 30mm with some springs and it'll look pretty tidy.

Nah, I wouldn't bother. The rear suspension is a torsion bar. Turning it on the splines does lower it, but screws up the handling big time, and it's pretty good as standard.

I have a 306Dt too. The usually inferior 1.9, but mine is perked up a bit.

If you want a bit more poke and keep your economy check out this company. (www.tunit.co.uk)

I have sitting on my drive................

right now...................

this very minute.................

A spanking brand new shiny.....................

Hyundia Getz 1.1

It's the most awful piece of c**p I have ever driven. Terminal speed of 90mph (alledgidly). Joke of it is, it has 140mph on the clock.

How can they justify giving me a courtesy car 3 door slow hatch 1.1 litre to replace my 2 litre fuel injected sports saloon Laguna. :x

Oh sorry, nice car dude.

I have a car, it is a new car. However it is simply a car which to me is a tool do a job. In no circumstances would I be taking pictures of it and placing it on any forum! This is not in anyway because it could be considered a sh*t car. It is all because it is just a car. I have never got emotionally involved with any car I have owned. My bikes...it is diferent.

I'll give you a quid for it.

I'll be doing my car test this year, probably, and might well invest in a terrible ****-tip for days when i get carried away and don't put the bike back together in time for work... But I know I'll have to be careful, if I buy anything remotely nice I'll end up modifying it. Probably end up with a Cat D of some sort, some reliable undesirable box that I'll not fall in love with.

well.. i thankyou for the comments...

i wouldnt normally get involved with a car.. but i have wanted a car like this for some time... i know i know.. whats it doing on the sv forum... well i was hoping to post pics of the finished sv... but alas.. none as of yet so i was sort of excitied about this new toy..

but yes.. a car is simply that a means to an end.. getting more than one of us som where in the warm and dry.. and sadly thats what i am doing more of latley than biking... :(

The plans for the bike are coming along... and soon i will be posting loverly pics of that...

untill then and untill the weather improves.. i more than like my air con.. half leather and comfort.... as much as it gauls me to admit it.... :( :D

I ride inside a BMW 320 coupe fully loaded and I love it :!: :!: :!:

I laugh so hard when you guys crack BM jokes but I have had a lot of other cars and the BM knocks spots of them.

Paid a lot for it new fully loaded, had it over three years now and have on intention of changing it, in fact I don't know what I would change it for within my price range.

Aye, poncy bloody torsions bars, shares it with most french stuff, including the dreaded Saxo.
Ruin the handling? Nooo, the cars centre of gravity is lower, with the same track width on the wheels. It should handle much better being lowered.

Pfff, french stuff anyway

Don't knock it. Put the Redtop 2.0 16v lump in it as I have my corsa and it'll be much more fun.

Even better if you spend some proper cash and put the LET (2.0 turbo) lump in there. Been done soooooooooooo many times, and theres a reason for that

Get a LET top end and a lot of bikes will have trouble.

Im still waiting for summer to get a video of my girlfriends Turbo corsa Vs my bike, tbh, i think i'll have the initial jump, but she will real me back in all the way to top end, and pass me....

But then im sure u'd end up spending more than the cars worth (£300 for the engine, £50 on 2.0 brake upgrade, £300+ on a suspension kit etc...).

Modifying cars is very expensive

Very true, would liked to have done it but have never really had the money. looked @ your car pics and both of your cars are very nice indeed.

Give me a shout when your gonna have that race, would like to see how that beast matches up to my RR.

Cheers, spent toooooooooo much money on them, and still need to spend more just to get mine back on the road

Is yours a 600, yours would win. I've spent ages finding videos of a CBR600RR racing a 300bhp Mk2 20. 16v turbo Astra. The astra whoops ass from takeoff in each gear at different speeds.

She would needs some tuning done first, otherwise, yours would win.

Dammmm, i've got the videos at home but they've been taken offline (was from Europe). I haven't got a web server to host them on.

If you have a massive email address, i can mail them. Might try putting them online later on Putfile.com or something.
