Daft question?!

So - I took my new SV for first proper run today :D I picked it up on Friday and have only managed couple of short runs since. Today few hours out - went Weymouth - Poole (stop in Poole for hand-warming coffee) - Weymouth - West Bay - Weymouth.

First thing - love love love loving my SV! Really beginning to get the feel of it and starting to enjoy those corners and roundabouts :D :D

However, one thing I noticed was that although I had a good view behind me from my right mirror, although i wiggled the left one around a million times all I could get were various views of my left elbow/tree on side of road/sky but not much of road behind me. noticed it most when on dual carrigeway can't see slow lane after overtaking. is this something you've all noticed and I'll just have to put up with, or is it me being unable to coordinate mirror or maybe I'm a really wonky shape and obscuring the view with my mis-shapen left elbow :shock:

oh and a quicky question - want to get a fenda extenda - which ones are good - should I get the suzuki one or pyramid (have got a pyramid belly pan which looks awesome)

Sorry, can't help with the fenda extenda but the mirrors on all Svs are pretty poor.

I for one can't see much from mine either. Some of the peeps on here use a mirror spacer which nudges your mirrors out about an inch....that extra inch works wonders apparently :wink:

I don't think there is a Suzuki fender extender. I think the pyramid one has Suzuki printed on it.

In the unlikely event that this hasn't occurred to you - I'm sure it has - make sure that the arm is adjusted such that it makes the mirror as wide out from the bike as it can be, and then adjust the mirror head itself such that it's pointing in your preferred direction.

thanks guys - I will try and see if I've got the main stem in the right position first :oops: thanks sid squid! otherwise those extender thingies look good. Or else it's gonna be 'hello left elbow!' forever after!

can't really afford to spend too much on the bike for a bit - got a cheaper car to buy bike in first place, now considering doing away with the four wheeler :shock:
