I just signed up for the HBOS (Halifax/Bank of Scotland) bike owner's group, 7th gear... and what do you know, practically everyone on there owns an SV! Including our own Jenni. It's really odd. What is it about SV owners that attracts us so much to this rather uninspiring employer?
Are you a closet HBOS employee? Feel like further imbalancing the statistics of our forum? Drop me a PM and I'll pass you the sign up details

If I felt that all HBOS employees were Henry-ing about on 999 Dukes, I would start to ask questions about bank charges....employee perks......

You suprise me. I'd never realised that the small-print on these was actually written by humans. I'd always imagined a fiery hot circle of Hell (probably Malebolge or Cocytus) with rows of demons chained to desks, all busy writing these things.

Well maybe I painted too good a picture of what it was like to work there!! But yes I drafted the lot. Funny thing was, nobody supervised what I did, perhaps it ws because reading them is evenmore boring than writing them, so if I made a ****-up then it's still out there. Now, I read lenders' mortgage offers and wonder (a) who wrote them, and (b) how they manage to get away with charging such outrageous 'arrangement' fees. If I charged what they charge, I wouldn't get any work. But nobody seems to complain when it's added to the morgage.

It's a bit weird... The 7thgear forums has a higher percentage of SV owners than we do ;)
