James...Nice pics mate.Hmmm a tricked up 749/999 by Casoli hey?(former Italian racer with stunning wife but he apparently bats for the other side  )
Shows straight cans which I am not sure quite works?
The bike you were struggling on is I think a Moto Morini....from the land of sex on wheels! But not sure which model.
The lasses? Mind if I risk just one eye???

the bike you don't know is a Moto Morini Corsaro 1200
www.motomorini.com
its Three Cross that are bringing them in from Italy won't last these companys never do, to be honest its a suprise that Ducati still function...
MV Augusta were recently sold by Proto (i think) for 1 Euro, yes ONE Euro, shame you had to take on the millions of debt they had!!!

if they have a Corsaro at the Edinburgh show, I''m going to have to pay someone to go in before me and put a sheet over it, or I'm going to end up having a financial accident ;) Or at least, an accident of some sort.

In fairness I think the person that designed that after market can for the R6..does not deserve a job. It looks awful and again needed for me to have the slanted cut off look to make it work.
Northy..Yeah a bit nice that Morini isn't it?

I love that Dodgy Geezer with the crack dealers gold chain!
That blonde in the white boots looks rather interesting? :)
Plus I can't believe that Casoli would do all of that cheesey blingness to the Ducati and leave the Sh*te Michelin Sports on it. Anyone who knows, would immediately turn away with Casoli losing credibility!

That's an old article (that first appeared in the bike press) and the bike was very much a pre-production model. Later tests have had no problem with the engine/fueling.
The only problem I have with it, is that it's going to be like any other Italian low production bike and will likely have a million faults (or to quote PR jargon - character  ).
With Jap bikes you do at least know that they work straight out of the crate and have an enviable reliability - though Triumph seem to have got their act together too.

I think maybe he had got all excited as he had just spotted Shakey in the corner of his eye! :)
Is it my age? I love an attractive looking girl like the next bloke, but is there still a great need for them at bike shows? It really is so 1970's! Or do they really help to promote/sell product? :?

Yes!
Shut up!

No i don't think so, my son is just 20 & he says they just get in the way of the bikes, mind you he was getting a real eye full of the pole dancer at the NEC, not that i noticed her of course (quick look over shoulder).
Mind you i'd def rather see nice young ladies working on the stalls instead of the usual balding pot bellied geezers you normally get. (no offence scoobs)

I agree mate, but mainly for the reason that I can't escape my missus's sarcy comments whenever I'm near them  Maybe I should shorten her chain so she's closer to the fridge or something, then she won't see.

Like you are speaking with authority as a bona fide Ducati owner are you? Or because they did not stock parts for your SV when you called them? WTF u saying Jordan?? :)

Oooooh, s'cuse me for having an opinion on Ducrapi without owning one!
They decided to refuse to pay dealers here for waranty work, so they went bust. Good enough for you?
Peter Henry

Jordan...Ducati have had well chronicled financial problems in the past and that would no doubt explain the situation that you refer to. I would suggest that their present circumstances are way removed from the situation that you mention.
However the number of dealerships that did actually meet their demise as a direct result of Ducati's inability to pay them for warranty work, was how many?
Ducrapi? Hmmm interesting that! :? :-k

The main dealer in the South of London went belly up because of this, which happened within the last 6 months. Along with 2 others, I think, but I'd have to check that.

Not trying to add fuel to a raging fire but another thing to consiser is how many went bankrupt for other reasons, one ducati dealer about three miles from me went bust, had a bankrupcy auction & everything, he reopened another shop in Colchester within six months under a different name & now sells Suzuki & guess what ............................................Ducati .
Suits me though because i can walk there now in 20 minutes if i have to.
Peter Henry

Foey..Well put sir. I personally find the suggested reason to be the single cause of any dealership going under extremely difficult to believe. If it happened as recently as Jordan states, then I am 100% convinced that there is much more to the story and far broader issues involved.
Just "quoting" hystrerical headlines without substance is pretty poor to my mind. 8)
Thank you sir Peter, No matter what anyone else says or thinks, if i had the money, i'd be riding a ducati today.
Now what numbers shall i pick for that euro lottery thingy.

OK finally got round to posting some pics up of the MCN show, warning, theres a few and their not small. Though I find the people in the background of the pictures funny :D
Another picture of the very bling bling Ducatti, expect some famous rapper to feature it in their video at some point i bet
http://www.btinternet.com/~wayne.hooper/MCN_01.JPG
The little Trimuph Daytona 675 in all its glory, there were huge crowds standing around at all times and had almost a queue to sit on it
http://www.btinternet.com/~wayne.hooper/MCN_02.JPG
Here it is again, incredibly narrow like a Ducatti and similiar size too like a 748
http://www.btinternet.com/~wayne.hooper/MCN_03.JPG
Another Trimuph, who wouldnt want a go on that? :D

That was cracking to see Fizzie all sparkling! That MV is just luscious!
Notice the "*anti chef's crack" seat on the 675? A little groove to allow some air flow under your bits!
*You ask Hally about that! :?
Why are most of the photos out of focus? You lot are usualy sooooo good!

I like that Rocket 3 trike... Makes a lot of sense. Since the original was just a car you could wheelie ;)
Yer some of the shots are, I was bit miffed when they came out, took some of the BSB bikes and so on but were blurred quite badly. Cause it was the opening day it was very busy and difficult to get a shot without someone in the way or getting shoved about so it was a rush to get even those.
Anyway you can make out most of them without getting nauseous  :D
Fal's are blurred cos i took em and i'm useless with a camera

The RD is a minter.
The Katana is a munter. I can't understand why people get so dewy eyed over these. I can't ever remember seeing one on the road.

My mates got one in his garage. However, Its got a monoshocked Polished JMC Swingarm, different wheels(cat remember the models), a 97 GSX seat unit, various other bits n bobs, and a 1180 engine with a unbelievabubbley load exhaust, oh and its Kawasaki green!! Its one evil muddy funster i can tell ya
Have to say, I really like this paint job.

Pitty about the exhaust!
Peter Henry
07-02-06, 03:46 PM
You have to admit that is a pretty shabby attempt by akrapovic isn't it? the whole bike is spoiled by that pipe. I would rather have left the standard exhaust on than go for that.
There's a moto gp style cut titanium open pipe you can get. It's road legal because it doesn't remove the silencer under the engine and looks the muts.

. . . No matter what anyone else says or thinks, if i had the money, i'd be riding a ducati today.
What I think you meant to say was that if you had the money you be the OWNER OF a Ducati today . . .
. . . but unable to ride it as it broke down & is currently in a dealer's workshop awaiting some very expensive & time consuming repair & / or service work to be done on it :P  :P
