Hi guys, just a quickie

Is the curvy headlight the same for all models? ie will a '99 one fit on a K2?
Also are there any problems fitting a uk headlight to an import? does it fit straight on or does it need a bit of tinkering?

Cheers
Mitch

The loom connection for the head light are slightly diffrent has UK has twin H4 bulbs and EU lights have 1 H4 and a diffrent one for a projector light.

Ricky boy is right - it'll bolt straight in.

If you have an import bike you'll need to change the wiring a dab, it's an easy change though. You'll most probably find that in your present wiring the of two sockets that connect to the bulbs, one has the connections for low beam and one has them for high beam, there is a possibility that you'll have one with connections for both high and low and one with only high beam.
Whichever you have at least one of the sockets won't fit the H4 bulbs that UK lights have, you'll need to obtain some appropriate ones, either from a motor accessory shop or from old looms from a breaker, also you'll need to extend the wiring from one plug to the other for the connection/s that they lack, so that both lamps have the three connections needed; low beam, high beam and a neutral, (earth).

Its not to hard of a job to do to be honest, I did this to my curvy a while back as was not happy with the import light.

Originally I modified the import wiring loom and added 2 new H4 plugs just took a few wires needed to soldered in but then I managed to get hold of a UK spec loom for almost free so just swapped it over and now its fine certainly looks better and makes you more visible at night.

There is a brand new headlight unit on ebay as buy it now at the moment I think.
