BBC doesnt seem to have their target audience quite right. Didnt they have a series about lesbians but it had to be a period drama about lezza's (the official PC term I beleive!!)

Yes it is :lol: . I was more or less forced to watch some of it but in the end I had to leave the room. Breast feeding a child up to two years is a good thing (and all power to the mums that make the effort to do it) but after that it's getting a little odd IMO. And as for that eight year old :shock: I think that's bordering on abuse - can you imagine what school will be like today for her (and for many years to come)? She also appeared to have a breast obsession (I'm serious here) which I felt was unhealthy - poor kid.

And as for the "in public" aspect, well I've got no problem at all with that just think it should be done discretely and as privately as possiblle, and not making a big show of it with a "look everybody, what a good mother am I!" attitude. I mean yes it's totally natural, but so's defecation, and that's something that (most of us) do in private.

I watched the whole program. I'm all in favour of breast feeding, but I think its not quite right to still be doing it at 7 or 8 years. Maybe 2ish years like the WHO suggests, but not 8.

I'd like to say that I found the program very informative. OK I was a little shocked, but on the whole if people want to do that then let them get on with it and don't judge them.

You have to wonder if the reason it went on was purely for the Mother's reasons (And no, I am not referring to anything sexual, but along the lines of not wanting to let go or accept that her Baby is growing up). I just thought it was wrong, and it didn't help me understand as I thought the Woman doing it reminded me of Maxine Carr !
