Yup I'll have one too, though that engine apparently puts out soooo much stomp that it's not the easiest bike to ride.

Yes but what bike is? All the bikes I ride seem to have the front tyre inflated with helium  .

I wanted a 950, but apparently the production models won't have a 9½ badge*, so I've changed my mind.

*It's of historical importance and vital. So there.

A couple of mates (who loves Morini's; one's nickname is "Tom Morini") have 3 1/2s. Beautiful little things. One has some bizzare full fairing (looks like the 70s idea of futuristic), the other has cafe racered his and that looks incredible.

I really want to like the new Morinis, having enjoyed the 1970's twins so much, trouble is the new ones are shaping up a bit dear, thus getting a go is looking a slim possibility.

I might get a 3½ and use it to annoy SV650 owners.

Looked at the Morinis at Ally Pally today and it ain't worth that sort of money. Those exhausts aaaarrrh yuk.Come to think of it most of the new fashionable underseat and semi underseat exhausts that all the new bikes seem to have are hideous IMHO.By that I mean most of the Yamaha range,Kwak ZX10 and the Speed Triple, they all have them as this years must have feature.Emporer's new clothes I reckon.

Basically its like this: If its a bike, and its black and gold, I like it. (Preferabley matt black.) No question for me that this is far and away the most outstandingest colours for bikes.

Question: Has anyone here got a good *matt* paint job done?

There was a pic of a cracking matt charcoal SV a while back. Think it was a banditmania thing at NEC????

outstandingestIs that a word?

Excellent choice any-hoo.

My thoughts exactly, 'til I saw the production 950 didn't have 9½ written on the side, so I've gone a bit cold on it - now I'm just sort of:

Gimme gimme gimme, ooohh yessssss. :P

I prefer the look of the S4R TBH :!:

S4 nice, but your statement is just so very very wrong, Morini much better.

It just is OK. Don't argue.

Well you know what bike I ride and I agree with BB regrding the taste of the month underseaties. That is why I was glad to see the new R6 take a fresher approach.

I actually still love nice single pipe ech side like on the SV1000 and Mille.

It is of course Mr Squid. Its just I am at the forefront of the developing English language. Very high levels of truthiness associated with it according to those who know...

Ah PH a man of taste.
I love the Duke 916 under seat job(Termis fitted) and the MV four pipe, but these are really well designed and tastefull. The current crop of surplus oil drums bolted to the rear footpegs are just awfull.I would have expected better of an Eytie outfit like Moto Morini.Wait till I start on wierd shaped headlamps like the MV Brutale hotly copied by Yamaha's Fazer. Now Morini have got this right with twin round spots which look good and should give good lighting as well.Single headlights can be a bit dim(Like Me)

I also think this months trend for exhausts is 'orrible But by far the worst case must be that awful excuse on the Yam fazer thou pictured on the front of this weeks MCN
and BTW wouldn't 2 pipes and twin shocks have looked better on the Paul Smart Ducati rep?

Sorry to disturb the love fest but it really does look unfinished.
I knows what I likes and this ain't it.
Looks very parts bin...find pix of the new R6 or 916/998 for a more rounded view.
Or my K5...they all good....A pretty motorcycle my K5...Since this is the SV fan club I expect no arguements on that!!!!

It's a pity that they didn't go for a slightly more original design.
