Seconded.

It's a lot easier/less boring if you do it regularly and in small amounts. Allegedly the autosol not only restores the shine, but helps prevent future corrosion too :!:

This (http://www.camcoat.u-net.com/Exhausts.htm) is always an option...

The costings for my KTM were £65+VAT for the headers & £40+VAT for the cans in Matt black (would look awesome on a black, black, black SV IMHO!) or £80+VAT for the headers & £60+VAT for the cans in 'Cermakrome'...

If the pipes are rusty or have build up on them then first go over them with a scotchpad (green scourer) to get most of it off.

(make life easier cut it to size and fit it to a sanding disk backing(black rubber thing) on your power drill).

Cheers Mark.

Or you can get a scotchpad for most detail sanders now (ie, Black and Decker mouse). Would do the job lovely.

I think mine will be getting ceramic coated black at some point, i want to see how it looks with the bellypan back on first. Very impressive, and not too expensive either considering what it is.

Forget hard work!

Just be sure to rinse well, and keep it off other parts. It's nasty stuff!

You're not wrong, Sprayed it on the pipe and watched bright orange stuff run down it. USE IN WELL VENTILATED AREA  or you'll get the mother of all headache's

In fact, it's almost a better idea to spray onto the brush that comes with it, and then apply to the pipes using the brush. That way, a slight breeze wont blow it all over the engine casing.

Will this also help clean (along with elbow grease and foul language) Nuts and Bolt Heads that have gone a lovely rust orange over the winter, looking at eventually getting stainless,

when you say watch other parts you mean painted surfaces and/or brakes etc, or avoid everything else

I'm not sure what the results would be on the suzuki cheese, but stainless and aluminum is fine. Basically, it's very acidic.

You might be right there. It's the dogs for the downpipe though!

im intreted in getting my pipes coated in that stuff to stop them rusting, cheaper than a full system and will allow me to get a devil slip on, (wasnt goign to get a slip on as downpipes are rusting) does any one have an idea what sort of tempretures the sv650 puts out as it says different temps for different coatings on the site,

Less than the satin black will handle, that's for sure... I was thinking of the semi-gloss black (less 80s-looking) but it's a lower temp coating. Not sure which way I'll go yet.

im thinking of the ceramicone but not sure if they can do it on a used exhaust. if not ill have to go with the satin black or a lower gloss tempreture if it can handle the heat, does anyone know what sort of heat the sv's put out?

They do, but they won't guarantee it for the 12 months :!: If you take it all off, clean & de-grease it yourself, it'll be fine
