Yeah, I haven't been on an SV forum rideout, I only usually go out with the 125cc forum people, as they are who I grew up with on bikes really. Most of them have bigger bikes now anyway.

Most peeps are, as yet, unaware that it exists. I'm sure that when they realise then they'll add themselves to it.

Technology eh!

Its like a little catalogue for bike thieves.

A: They can read Sigs and post to find a Bike the right colour with the exact spec of mods etc.
B: Find out where it is on that nice little map.

Super! Hope they come looking for mine.

This kinda happened on the RX-8 forum people listed what they had done with pics showing license plates. Was only a matter of time till they stared to disappear.

I think that's just sensationalism.

Err, i think many people have not actualy put their road on the map, often putting a mainroad etc...

Its an SV forum, its safe to asume that most of us have SVs, possably one of the most unpopular bikes to steal.

Well i've just added myself to the map thingy.

And if any theif out there really thinks my bike is parked in the middle of Apex Corner roundbaout then they are welcome to play with the traffic while they try and find it.

Like TSM said, you'd have to be a very sad or very thick ******* if you went out looking to steal a bike with such a low resale value wouldnt you?

Not everyone on here has a SV or a cheap bike for that matter.

I think people should be made aware of this, that's all. I'm not saying don't use it, just don't put your exact details in.

Other than that I like it. Its interesting to see who's around you.

Like TSM said, you'd have to be a very sad or very thick b*stard if you went out looking to steal a bike with such a low resale value wouldnt you?

My first big bike was a cx500 about 10 years ago and that got nicked within 10 days of me owning it. Never found, so presume it was someone who wanted THAT particular bike :?

That'll explain the guy sculking around by the lights, pretentding to sell roses then. He is really just eyeing up our bikes!

OK I have gone and put the road I live on.

What does it matter, there a 3 of my neighbours who also own bikes there is no house number shown. So of the 40 houses on this particular road, you would have to break into quite a few garages before you struck lucky.

I like the idea of the map. It gives us some idea of who is nearby if you fancy an impromptu sunny afternoon ride out etc.
