If you calculate it by points per head of population, Wales won ;)

Well, if that is the way that the scoring is going to ne worked out then surely the team sizes should be worked out on that basis as well

WTF? Behave yourself Northy!! You sweaty socks are in for it soon as well :D :D

What is interesting is as soon as the BBC went to the pundits it took Jonathon davies about a minute and a half to start bleating about the ref. Just face it, leek-eater, you got a stuffing. You were outplayed by a better team. Jeremy Guscott (who I have no great love for by the way) was smack on when he stated " Wales haven't even looked like they are capable of winning this today"

My sentiments exactly. :D :D

The countdown to getting flamed starts..........NOW!

comparing we had well over half of our team missing.. and the ref did drop a few clangers like it or not...

THOUGH

England deserved to win.... but NOT by that margin.. Dallaglios try and Dawsons try were not... any pundit worth their salt would agree.. ref got in the way for one.. dawson knocked on for the other...
I still expect a full welsh team at 100% would give England some nightmares to think about....
score line flattered England too much...
and the ref just seemed to give those 50/50 decisions your way..... and blatently ignored others..

congrats... but on hollow grounds.. France will stuff you ;) and doing so, show you how rugby is supposed to be played!

They might. Or they might turn up in a bad mood and just play crap. Inconsistent buggers. On a good day France could stand up to the All-Blacks fireing on all cylinders. But if it rains or there in their flowers or something, we could push them over.

Lets just hope for everyones sake they turn up in a good mood.

We *just* scraped past the EyeTies. Last try probably wasnt even a try. Hopefully Ireland will wake up a little after that mess.

There must have been some lonely sheep last night as all of the Taffs would have been inconsolable and no doubt spent the evening crying in to their beer!

The sportsman in me though feels it was a terrible shame that Wales were stripped of so many players through injury and a full team would have made the outcome far more interesting.

However England can only do the job against whatever team is placed before them. 8)

hmmm... dawsons was deffo not a try, but what was wrong with delallio's? ref got in the way for both teams didnt he? or was there another infringement i missed?

can't agree more, the winning margin flattered england, but you'll not find me complaining about that..

Normal service has been resumed!

England were flattered by the scoreline, but not the result!

Wales were flattered by ....... err .......... !

The M4 is a long slow depressing road when your going home after loosing.
I had that pleasure last year,

This year it was up the A12 singing!

Wahoo!

as a welshman im happy that we have been able to bring a little happiness to the lives of the english.

we had to sacrifice our national pride to give the english a little lift at a time when they havent much to smile a bout.

engln ddeserved to win.

but not by that margin

That is true. But we know it, whereas the English supporters cry themselves to sleep if they don't take the Grand Slam. A pessimist is never disappointed ;)

That'll be the much-vaunted France that just got hammered by the Scots will it?

Yeah, right!!! Think Wales should be careful of those boys from North of the Border.....reckon they might be vying for top spot with England!

France were feilding 5th choice players in some positions

I wouldnt put it past scotland to win the championship.. some of the ball handling skills shown were top drawer stuff... they must have taken a leaf from our book last year ;)

Might end up now as a good tournement.. I will still feel sorry for whover plays France when they click again... probably waiting until they come to Cardiff :?

And with Italy almost pulling a shock yesterday if it were not for the half blind ref...

Wasn't expecting that

I've decided it must be a cunning campaign by Tennants. Tonight, beer sales through the roof after unexpected win. When we play England, beer sales through the roof after we actually play like Scotland and get the hump.

I tell you what though. I wouldnt like to be the next team to play France. They are going to be seriously peeved about things now.

<I'll just have a quick look at BBC there...>

Oh.

That would be Ireland.
Bugger.

Glad england stuffed last years winners.
Very glad Scotland beat France, Scotland needed a good boost, crowds were mental...

Shame Italy lost against Ireland, the diss-allowed try was terrible. I'd like to see Italy come on some more, beat the welsh or the french. Would be good for rugby.

I am sure it would be much better for Rugby if Italy beats England

tbh, i'd be extremly cheesed off, but it would be good for rugby yeah. Been a fair few years now since the Italians joined the "was" 5 nations, and they've won 1 game per tornament.

Just would be good to see them get some victories, raise they game level etc. Same as Scotland.

End of the day, other than England, not many teams are "world class" up in the northen hemisphere. Most teams are still chasing.
