Most of the Harley stuff goes for well over the odds compared to the retails prices,
as rubberduck says, some people will assume that its cheaper rather than check the dealer prices or buying direct from Jersey

I wish it did! I've been trying to get bits for 2004 HD Sportster and I can assure that the above quote is way off! Harley prices are a joke, it makes Suzuki parts look cheap! To give an example, handlebars £51, mirror £38, footpegs assembly £178 each side, indicator £45, engine cases £500, silencers £257 each. And that isn't even the chromed stuff, chrome it and you can double it! This little Sportster project isn't the bargain I thought, it's no wonder the salvage guy was so happy with my ridiculous offer! Now I just want to get it running then I can flog it!

Mariner , surely a devilish plot for you to make econmies would be to source via John Deere.Same parts just banged up prices when they get the Harley logo popped on them!

Really? I found a lot of Harley stuff on Ebay that was considerably cheaper than the channel island dealers. Whilst most of the really cheap stuff is in the states, there are still bargains to be had over here.

I've finally found a place in US will ship parts over! You pay less in dollars than you do in pounds, even with the duty and VAT and shipping charges the saving is enormous!
