For ****s sake...the last two guys who have sat on my bike have dropped in inside a week.
Im no longer letting anyone take the weight of the bike....

No I let my mate Phil ride my old plag 3 or 4 times, dropped it every time.
You would have thought I'd learn't after the first time wouldn't you.

It was quite ammusing trying to guess how long he would stay on and then watching him crash.
Good job the old C50 was knackered piece of crap to start with. :D

No one is even allowed to touch my SV

Not quite the same but I let my 10 y/o nephew sit on the bike and switched in on (all under his fathers supervision). He asked what makes it go so I showed him the throttle (in Neutral) and he wanted a go....

The little bugger revved it past the red-line and a huge cloud of cr@p came out of the can.

Little git probably cleaned the engine out a bit!

If my mate wants to sit on it, then they get the I'm holding the mirror stalks treatment, until I am happy. Wheeling it about however, is a different matter.

I had to get my brothers, neither of them bikers, to wheel mine into the garage for me (through the tiny back door too) after I did my knee in... They had about 3 fights and got completely stuck going through the door, but luckily I managed to poke the sidestand down with a crutch before they let it overbalance to the left. Never again!

i always let my mates sit on my bike (as long as they actually are my mates)

ive had it a few times when people i dont know ask to sit on my bike and get offended by me saying "no"

last summer, after work, a coleauge asked to sit on my bike, i let him in our carpark.
when he gets on, police car pulls up and thinks that he is riding it without helmet, insurance ect ect.

took alot of persuading, even though i had the keys in my jacket pocket for them not to nick us.

Let my best mate ride my bike all the time, but he rides a 125, and has passed his full test. I did let my other mates sit on my bike, they didn't ride bikes at the time, but I was right next to it and it wouldn't have gone anywhere. One of them asked for a go, was promptly told to **** off lol. He said he just wanted to learn how to ride a bike, so we bought a c90 project bike for £100 between 4 of us, then cleaned it up nice, then he wheelied it THROUGH his garage, very glad I didn't let him on the SV now. Did sell it in total for £160 though, so not bad.

Yeah, he's got a wavey disk and sintered pads on his RS125, I stupidly thought the SV's brakes would be better, seeing as there are 2 of them. I grabbed the brake, wondring how good it would be, and it went up on the front wheel and I shat meself. Also seeing how you would look/sound when overtaking at a ton plus is quite cool.

Anyone can sit on my bike, they can sheel it around, take it for a ride, crash it, write it off whatever. They bin it, they brought it...simple rule number one

Yep, same ere. Rule #1 other than than that anyone i know (who has a licence) is free to use it.

My work colluege used my sv quite a few times to go and resuce his broken down wifes car because his 125 (commuter) bike would be too slow to go the couple of junctions up the A40. Personally i think he just wanted a hoon

Some people don't realise what a personal thing it is to ask to sit on your bike, they look at you gone out when you say no.
They're not toys you know.

I've never come across this phrase before, 'they look at you gone out when you say no'. East Midlands expression???

I don't let people hold my bike unless I know that they know what they're doing - most don't realise how heavy and finely balanced a bike is. And how quickly the weight shifts...

I was just pulling up to park outside a university halls of residence when a few druck students came running up. One shouted "give us a ride on the back mate" and started to swing his leg over.

I have never accelerated so fast in my life.

Nope. But I'll let him go on someone else's bike one day and pop it into gear, before asking him to do the same thing whilst releasing the clutch quickly :)

none of my friends ever ask to sit on my bike they dont like bikes. kids at school always asking to sit on it thought - NO

dont you hate it when you are parked up somewhere and there are a few of you standing around having a laugh and some fat hopper comes up and promptly lifts her snotty kid onto your bike without asking, all you can see is the sun shine (obviously not in scotland) glinting off his jacket zip just before it scrapes the tank. really winds me up :x

My brother has ridden mine, Liz has sat on it. TBH I wouldnt let anybody else sit on it or ride it unless I totally trusted them.

The only exception was my friends little boy who has autism was fascinated by it, he kept trying to climb up it so I picked him up and sat him on it and he loved it he was playing with switches and generally having an all round good time. Then I started it up and rev'd the throttle and he loved it the grin on his face was fantastic. He then decided he wanted to get off so I picked him up and put him back on the floor. He the proceeded to put his head right by the can and motioned for me to rev the throttle again at which point he stuck his head right by the exhaust exit which made his cheeks flap like a dogs do when they hang out of a car window and was laughing and giggling it really made everybody who was there howl with laughter.
