hya guys..
OK I now stink of petrol and walked through the house with petrol hands into the ffice and Kim aint happy !
so furtther to my leak- I have now found the problemo!!
in the dark- sods law..torchlight and a security light.,..but it seems simple..
the main petrol line (rubber) has perished right near the end from the petrol tank..like 2 inches in.!!
big major hole..
so!..
can I splice it? and re attach ?? or do I buy a new line?..if so how much are they >?
its only a bit off the end so I could splice it but is it that length for movement etc??
please advise b4 I wash my hands .. ta

If I found that I'd immediately suspect it was a replacement hose made of a material not suitable for fuel.
Is it the original or is it possible it has been repalced at some time??
If it's definitely the original, that's really scary! :reaper:

Halfords sell a fuel hose you can use... It's about £3 for a metre and that's all you need. I think it's 6mm inside diameter. You probably want to replace the whole lot, and as soon as possible. It's not hard, you basically just need to remove the old ones, cut the new ones to length and fit them up. The hose clips provided with the SV won't fit around it though, it's thicker.
Mine were starting to go off a bit at 6 years old, but they weren't splitting or leaking, just very difficult to remove from the unions.
