Commuters, we have been put to shame
Yes I've seen that before, rather excellent handling skills - I just wish they did that in the UK, I'd certainly be up for it.

Cloggsy, i replayed it and noticed it too - the piece that looks like a bracket of some description?
I was thinking 1 of 2 things.
1) there to help minimise damage in the event of a fall.
2) to help balance the bike better, given the exhaust is on the offside, add some weight to the nearside to help counter it. (makes a little sense - otherwise why did all the manufacturers start talking about "mass centralisation" and underseat exhausts...)

You're most probably right with the second, I'd say. If it were "damage control", most probably there'd be another on the RHS...

Fairly impressive but where were the life-savers? He'd never survive a commute in London
Very impressive.
A bit like Autosport for bikes instead of a Mini as in this clip.

Is it just me or is this guy's rear tire really slim? :? Probably to improve flickability...
Not much weight in the back of that mini then!

I think it was an NC24 model VFR400, they had a 130 section 18" back tyre.
