I've just bought some new phones for the house; Philips Zenia 300's...

The problem is, every time someone rings us, or indeed we try to ring out - it cuts our ADSL connection...

This warning appears (see below)

Then when I attempt to redial, I get this warning (see below)

http://www.goodwinfamily.force9.co.uk/screendump2.jpg

Then when redial is pressed again it finally connects...

What are the issues here - does anyone know :?:

Its more of an annoyance that a big drama, but a ball ache all the same :!:

Help greatfully received

That usually happens when you have a filter missing off one of the phone sockets - I would double check them all... hth

I've stuck a second micro-filter on the phone cable & it seems to have done the trick

Yep, I would say the chances are that it's to do with the filters.

If you have a "Business Broadband" connection, the filters are built into the line, but if it's a consumer product then you'll need the plug in type filters.

Yep correct, but it has been noted with some type of filters that DECT phones cause the ADSL to drop anyway.

The best filters on the market are the EXCELSUS Z-420UK-A, they have passed every test unlike others that only passed basic BABT tests.
