Ok, now I've started questioning then I might as well finish (I told you I would ask lots of questions). I ride to work and back and have to go through the tyne tunnel, when coming out the other side after going uphill for a little while my engine usually sounds a bit rougher. It's like it vibrates more. For some weird reason it is more common by far when I ride north through the tunnel!! (how the hell does that work?).

Anyway, it dissapears after a little while but I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be? I have a curvy btw.

cheers,

Al

it may be that you are in too high a gear, as you hit the incline your engine load increases (it has to work harder) and if your revs are low in top gear it could lead to the symtoms your describing, don't know about the north bit though...steeper hill?? try changing down and see if it does it.

I'll give that a go on the way home then,

engine loading is the most likely answer
