Is my alarm alive?

Sorry for the simple question but I've never owned an alarm before!

My meta alarm, came with the bike and has no manuel, always beeps when I press the button, but when I then go and move the bike or put the key in the ignition it's really a matter of chance as to whether it sounds or not.

Any ideas why it usually doesn't work then randomly does sometimes? :?

No idea really except maybe sometimes youre setting it properly & sometimes youre not, have you tried phoning or emailing the company to see if they will send you a manual.
