I just got pulled up for speeding... By our security guards. They've got a radar gun! "You went out of there at a hell of a rate son. And you did it... on site. You can do whatever you want on the street, that's your lookout, but if you do it on site then it becomes my problem".

30mph in a 5mph zone. Do you think I'll get the jail?

Tell them to get a life!

5mph? It'd take you an hour to get out of the road - and you have to keep upright for goodness sakes!

Do a rolling burnout next time, just keep the speed around 5mph, see what Mr Hitler says then

Reminds me of the 'I nearly got in at Hendon....' line

Our security guards have a radar gun, ours are MOD and we have a crown road leading to the site with a stupid speed limit. They tend to screw you with huge fines if they catch you.

Ours do that too . . .

. . . only thing is the gun has been out of order for the last 18 months !!

Early morning a few weeks ago I was spotted doing about 130mph on a 50mph stretch of nice straight, empty road. Fortunately, the Security Manager just had a quiet word with me & told me "to turn your bloody lights off so no-one can see you !!"

Or even the Gaol.
Nahh. He will probably just let you off with Prima Nocte with your wife. :D

The trouble with Scotland is that it's full of Scots... and all that.

(They locked up Martin Luther King Jr. for doing 30mph in a 25mph zone though. Although he was also Driving While Black in fairness,)

Quite right too! Motorcycling thugs...

I've been pulled by em once on the way out, as i'd speed off on the way in after they stopped me to fish my pass out from under my two jackets (in the freezing cold) and hold up the rest of the arrivals!

Even though my bike is parked there EVERY day.

Reminds me of a time when i was in the Air Cadets back in 99.

Me mate had an automatic mini - was a right hoot..

Anyway, one day we're driving down the taxi way to go meet a civi glider which had landed out, and he puts his foot down.. as he pulls from the taxi way onto the Apron, it starts screeching cos we're doing about 80.

Anyway, we were laughing and enjoying the freedom when suddenly we noticed that there was a police car behind us (whoops). So we stopped, he got a right bollocking, his mod license was revoked until he'd resat his test and he was banned from driving his vehicle on the airfield for 3 months...

 even mod police officers have no sense of humour.

Go in on a pushbike and bomb it round. I'd do that.

Upset? My main problem was getting away before I started laughing till I cried ;) I think I'm going to see if I can manage 50. There's not much space between those speedbumps though, I might need nitrous ;)

It always amuses me that places put up such mad speed limits. 5mph is a fast walking pace, and not exactly easy on a motorcycle cos even at idle your doing 10mph in first. I'd be putting in a claim for a new clutch every few weeks.

Many years back I used to work in Aztec West, Bristol, the road of which is a giant oval, very wide road too. The speed limit was something daft like 20mph. I didn't get busted for hammering around there much faster than that in my Fiesta, but one of my workmates got asked to slow down by the site management after getting up to 100 on the straight (in a Porsche, not my fiesta).

"It's not her majesty's highways, so your speed limit signs don't apply, mate." Is the correct response to that one :)
