Do i need to do anything to a K5 to run with the baffles out of a blue flame can? i.e.- power commanders etc.????
Yes - use ear plugs.

Serious answer: No, it will be fine. Once you put an uprated air filter on, that's when you need to start thinking about altering the fuelling.

sv650spete i have just got a blue flame can and its on my k5 and dam is it loud lol ears are still ringing lol def use ear plugs cant find mine atm but have to use them!!! i have only got a kn as well fitted to bike and it seems to run fine.
:evil: go in to 3rd gear power it a bit till 4500 revs then close throttle and what u get is popopopopopopopopop BANG!!! :twisted: good fun.

Seriously #3, no problems on my K3 with the debaffled blue flame either (although them rivets do pop out)

I don't have any popping and banging on the overrun. Just seems lot of peeps like it.

Well, I like it, gotta love a bit of burble on the overrun, but fair enough mate, personal preferance and all that.
only K3s and later will pop on overrun - its when suzuki introduced the PAIR system, which injects air into the exhaust to keep emissions down. Chewy does a kit to block it up.
Assuming no air leaks along the pipe, of course.
