Drove past there at that time. Ambulance and Police on both sides of bridge leading from Cockpit island round to A52 slip road. Several police / other people peering intently over the bridge down to the water. Dunno if a car had gone out of control and gone over (seems very unlikely) or someone had decided to end it all by throwing themselves into the river.

Guess it'll be on radio Derby or in tomorrow's telepgraph.

Nowt on the 9pm news on radio Derby. Maybe it was the emergency services night fishing trip ?

Apparently we all have to stand up and sing 'Stand up for the Gadsby boys' tomorrow. Should be a fun atmosphere, especially on the car park outside the boardroom after the game.
