Anyone from Gosport

Just seen on the news a blue Suzuki crashed in Gosport.
Caught the tail end of the report so didn't know the details.

I hope no one from here. :( :( :(

Just seen a thread on another forum from Banjo to say he had a very minor off yesterday but he and pillion were fine and only minor damage....hope its very minor!

Hiya folks.

I did indeed have a little off but it was in darkest Dorset with the good lady on the back.

We were at a standstill in traffic when one of the group miss judged his braking and used us as a brake.

Minor damage to the bike but, as usual, the gear shift was snapped off. Soft landings for both of us, surprised more than anything else. Lorraine saved the exhaust by sticking her leg under it - what a girl :D

Couldn't have happened at a better place, 50 yards down the road from what can only be described as a bike graveyard of a front garden. Turned out to be an old SOC member!!!!

How lucky was that!

Little bit of drilling and a bolt later - new gear shift that got me home and would have lasted for ages.

Suzuki Owners Club Insurance Services :thumbsup: Called them Sunday afternoon to report it, got a call 08:50 Monday morning, bike was picked up 14:00 Tuesday for assessment and repairs, brilliant - so far.

Suzuki Owners Accident Management Services :thumbsup: Called to see how they could help - Gonna claim for my excess, relacements for damaged clothing, persoanl injury claim if required, loan bike if required.


What can I say, so far, bloody brilliant :notworthy:
