Wow, you really put some work into that huh?
I think you should leave it matte black (unless you can find a shiny leather black seat to match the frame). Anything else just won't look right and would detract from the obvious work you've put into the rest of the bike.
Nice paint job. Who did that???
 cheers for the input im really undicieded hense this post :D
i did the paint job mate,me and my dad have a bodyshop
That does look trick!
Where are you located and what sort of money would thid cost to do?
whatever you decide upon, just bear in mind the good old british weather & that riding with a soggy botty is no fun at all despite what peter henry may tell you.
im in the west mids, price depends on so many things, colour,bike,paint.........etc
about a grand ish
we charge £200 to polish and paint the rims
As for material I would go for Alcantara. Hmmm, Colour not sure, but I think red would be to much.
I would try and get someone to photoshop with some idea's.

Paint is awesome by the way

I think when I do mine, I'm going to get a bit of black elephant hide tolex- the stuff they cover Marshall amps with. Tough as nails, nice to look at, very tactile, and it's designed to be wrapped around really awkward shapes. Might be very slippy, though, and I don't know how it deals with water or constant friction.

In my opinion thats way to bright. All the attention now goes to the seat rather than the paint.
Colour wise I'd go for a really dark burgundy, or matt black.
Material, I would advise against suede. You can't waterproof it without ruining it and so evey time it rains you seat will be like a sponge.
The only way I think something like that would work with any degree of practicality would be to have a very fine suede, pig skin is usually the best (deer, goat and cow are generally too coarse or too thick) and fit it over the current seat cover.
At least then it'll be sitting above a waterproof layer, the foam won't turn into a sponge and it should dry quicker.
