I would hereby like to launch a public appeal to ban the above meal in all public places as every time I see & / or smell it my body's natural reaction is to retch violently.

I am sure that I'm not the only one that finds this food stuff utterly repugnant & offensive. :?:

So, be warned you macaroni cheese eaters - the campaign has begun !!

Ooh no!

I love mac 'n' cheese, but the tinned stuff is the making of the devil. Spew in a tin.

Make it your self and top with crispy bacon. Mmmmm!

I'm with Supervox, its disgusting stuff and shouldn't be seen in public. If people want to practice their dodgy habits in private then fine, but not where it can be seen!

SV - i read the first few posts and just felt compeled to write.

I ALSO HATE THE STUFF - ONE LOOK/SNIFF I WANNA CHUCK CHUNKS.

Its foul, looks revolting, smells even worse - ive never actually in my life picked up the guts to try the stuff - cos i cant bring myself to eat canned vomit with stomach chunks... which is basically what it is.

It should be banned, with immediate effect - SVox - lets get a petition going!

Bit of deja-vous here. This kind of reminds me of my "does anyone actually like black cherry yogurts?" topic! :D :D But will it reach as many pages?

As for macaroni cheese, got to say one of my faves. Specially if you spice it up a bit with some chili sauce!

No no no no no people - what are you saying?!

Macaroni Cheese is one of the best foods ever!! You like pasta? You like a nice creamy cheese sauce? How can you not like macaroni cheese - especially with a nice browned bit on the top?

The cafe next to my old work used to have it as a 'special' every Wednesday. It got to the point about 6 months ago that I'd walk in and didn't even have to order it out loud - just give the boys behind the counter the 'maccy cheese nod'.

I miss it now.

But a kind friend bought me 5 tins as a leaving present.

Hold on, you mean you can actually order Macaroni and cheese?!
Doesn't really sound like nice healthy food to me (like chips and beans is!)

Seeing that there seem to be so many fanatics here, someone fling us a good recipe for mac'n'cheese then? (more than just boil some pasta and grate some cheese on top)

Have to agree with SV, Macaroni Cheese is the food of the Devil  Any thats been left dried in the saucepan takes on the adhesive powers of araldite!

Ban It I say!!!

In fact ban anything with cheese or sprouts in it!

Personally I'd indulge in some parma ham and mozzarella over the top and stuck under the grill to go crispy.

Ok, so we're split on the macaroni cheese idea. So what's the forum views on the school dinner classic, ravioli? At the time I hated it, but now with a decent herby filling and rich sauce I'd take it over the mac 'n' cheese.

... probably tastes like, well, you can see where I'm going with this.

As for Parmesan - c'mon, it's just a hardened lump of congealed vomit with the carrot bits taken out surely! I mean, that's what it smells like.

Smoking in a resturant is more sociable that ordering Macoroni Cheese of anything with Parmesan.

Nor can I. Though I would expect that proper ravioli is entirely different to the sheeps testicles in pasta that we were served at school.

Did anyone see that Simpsons episode where there was a box labelled "testicles" in the high school canteen? Having been forced to eat school ravioli, I can relate to that.

On the parmesan debate, there are two kinds of parmesan. There's the grated soap that supermarkets sell in little cardboard tubs - which is vile and should never be eaten. Then there's the real Italian parmesan, which is ridiculously expensive, should be served in thin shavings and is absolutely wonderful stuff. Don't confuse the two.
