OMG what a blast from the past!!!
Me and my kid brother used to watch that, and then proceed to kick seven bells out of each other "Monkey Style". :D
Come to think of it, just like my kids act after watching "power rangers", some things never change. :D
You guys must also remember that classic movie - "Return of the one armed swordsman" - truly awsome action scenes - body count out of this world - yeah baby!! :D

Kwai Chang Caine AKA David Carradine. Watching him on the goggle box then got me into the like of Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris etc. My local cinema had the fire doors linked so we would go into the kids show and nip through to see Way of the Dragon" & "Enter the Dragon"
Well Bruce Lee was supposed to get the part in kung fu :)

It will probably be shi'ite.
I saw the original recently. It was a real rose tinted affair. Nowhere near as good as I remember when I was a kid.

I still wanna know how David Carradine ever got a part in a kung fu tv series/film. He was awful. Made me laugh watching the film where he did naff all martial arts and then Brandon Lee does some great stuff. Oh and who wins.......David Carradine, hmmmmmmmmm.
Monkey was class, and the new one should be just as fun, not saying good, just fun.
Gotta say one of the best martial art directors and choreographers has to be Sammo. What a great star, if you haven't already see some of his flicks, or even ones with the trio in. Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao. Dragons Forever springs to mind as it has Benny Urquidez in it.
I'll shut up now.
Sammo Hung
What is that cop series he was in?
Quality! Slightly overweight geezer doing martial arts. Really funny.

um, martial law I think. He's good at most things it seems, did a load of stunt work for most of Bruce Lee's films too.
martial law.
Yep! That's it.
