Well, i've just got back from a 160 mile ride around the oxfordshire and berkshire countryside and it was great.
All apart from that damned cold wind. Oh and the frost on the ground and it being -3C did not help either. :D
I had to buy myself a new set of gloves as all I had when I set out was my vented summer ones. I now own a warmer pair of winter gloves.
Oh and FOG!!! That is evil stuff on a bike. I was the bloke doing about 40mph on the M40 at 9 this morning as I could not see more than 5 metres in front of me. I was constantly wiping my visor with what was then a set of vented summer gloves. It was horrid. The day did get better though as it went on and the sun came out.
Hope you all had fun rides today.
Regards

I persuaded the girlfiend to come out as it was quite sunny here and nipped out on the backroads and into the Mendips but she got real cold. It was much colder than I thought it would be, especially out of the sun

Its been really warm up here today, close to about 10C id put it. Of course i wasnt out on my bike (no license) but there were many many bikes passing through the city centre, and they could be hear to be having fun on the roundabouts of the outer ring road.
:-( i want my bike.....

Yup it was really nice up here today. I spent the morning in Asda - as you do - and the aftrenoon washing the cars and the bike! Washing the cars is a bore but it is quite nice getting the bike nice and clean...
Day not entirly wasted as Liveropol beat Man Utd in the cup for the first time since 1921 and on the way to Asda my widfe said she was okay about me getting a second bike

I went out for 3 or 4 hours and thought the weather was ok. I had my bike MOT done and it was colder in the garage than riding my bike.
The start of things to come, sun and dry roads, yippee :P
Yeah it was a bit cold, some of the essex guys took our bikes to get dyno'd but the roads were quiet and we found some decent twisties...
Can only get warmer tho :D

Did you go up to Colchester? I was up around the A130 (again) from Southend to Stansted area and the weather was fairly warm at times, dry roads and as you said, the roads were quiet.
So, off topic, what did the dyno man tell you? - 102hp at the back???
