By popular demand - here's the Daytona. Sorry they're not the best of pics... taken at Wylie & Holland in Telford on Saturday afternoon, low sun, bike parked in a slightly awkward position etc.

Bike's an 05 reg, was their demo. Only got 1,042 on the clock. Standard bike, complete with stickers!!! I had an alarm fitted as they did a discount on it.

Ed...That is one lovely looking bike. Jeez if there was no such thing as a Ducati 749 I would be seriously tempted. You enjoy! 8)

Naaa, not sure I like it at all, what's with that straightline thing going on :?: Looks like it's made of cardboard.
Should have spent your money on a real plastic rocket

I just luv the tank, about the best bit on the bike, mega cool or what

Cheers Mark.

What is it with SV riders and Triumphs?
Never been a big fan of the daytona, but if ya like it, then thats cool.

Don’t know about SV riders specifically, but in general, the smaller Triumphs ( tt600/speed four/daytona 600/650) are seen as a way of getting a great handling bike (all have received great reviews in that department, if you give weight to that kind of thing :?: ) without being in the plastic rocket brigade, which by the very nature of the market they’re aimed at changes each year, if you’re lucky your cbgsxkxr6 you’ve just spent you £7k on, will be mega trendy for all of 12 months, then of course it become last years thing, and at 1 bhp more & 1.7564 kilos lighter, the new one's got to be miles better

The performance is as good on road (just about any of the 600ss of the last half dozen year are) as any of the competition and it’s built for this country, plus it’s British.

Cheers Mark.

I must admit, I do have a bit of a soft spot for the Daytona's smiley face.

Not a fan of red, unless it's a deeper burgundy, but it does look nice being a single colour. None of these flashy, fashion victim colours; they can so detract from the lovely lines of the bike itself.

You have to see it to believe just how red it is. One of the reasons it was so hard to get a good pic was that all the redness sent the camera electronics haywire!!!

LOL, I thought he just got leant one to ride around in Balmoral estate for the day! Didn't think it was his! But the press managed to take enough photo's and of course comment on who "competant" he was on it!!!

I am sure you'll look better than he did Ed...lovely!

I thought that Triumph had given him a Daytona 600 (probably to get themselves some publicity)

Apperently "Uncle Freddy" (March) has let him and Harry use Goodwood for a private trackday.
