I have a mate coming down from Manchester this weekend, he is riding down on Saturday morning I'm meeting him and we'll be dropping his bags off in Bristol about 10:30ish (hopefully) have a brew then aff down the A39 to Minehead and Lynton then find someway back up (maybe a spot of lunch first) and hit cheddar and the mendips then back towards Bristol
Any takers?
I asked El Saxo but couldn't make it down from Manchester with my other mate as he is working

If weather's dry I could be tempted - haven't been out for ages. If it's wet/snow probably not since, although I'm no fair weather rider, I don't ride in rain outta choice!
i would but im already booked up this saturday! thanks for the offer though!

plus bike is due:
new front tyre
new back tyre
Major (16K miles) service
MOT
So Id like the bike to pass the MOT on its current back tyre.. as this thing is eating them up quicker than me or Jabba can eat burgers!

I'd be tempted but a) I live about 130 miles away and b) I'm gonna be in Brighton that day.

In other primitive countries like your own, folks put wheels and a seat on them and turn them into an all-purpose farm vehicle.

How many miles was that? When I tried a BT020 rear it didn't last 2 months.

ermm.. tyre was fitted when I bought it in September at 12,000 miles.. bikes now on 17,000+... not used as much as I would have liked over winter...
so 5000 miles on a ZX-6R aint tooooo bad!

I got 5000ish miles on the SV, so that's not bad at all.
It really was dead when I was done with it, though.
So, how was it? I assumed it was still gonna be snowing and ended up booking other things for Sat. Was gutted when the sun came out

It was reat mate, chuffin FREEZING but good. Met up about 12:00 got riding about 13:30 and got home at 20:30 we were SOOOOO cold that even after showered changed and in Bristol for something to eat I was still shivering. Went out from 10:30 today and got back at 13:30 and still cold now.
Banged off a few hundred miles lots of smiles, wanted to take some pics but he left his camera in his bag at mine and we didn't really want to keep stopping but have a look at
