Well I thought it was funny, so I guess Mr Owen is the one without a sense of humour.

Guy, on this forum we all open ourselves up for ridicule, especially if you're a regular contributor (as you have become). I'm just a little upset that I didn't think of such a witty reposte so quickly :?

And if yo were ever to meet the Squidster, I'm sure that the one thing you'd realise he's not, is a d*ckhead. A cad maybe.....

Get over it...

At the risk of getting flamed too..

This thread is a typical example of whilst this forum is a great place, it occasionally gets very "higher than thou...." and it mainly comes from the same few select members.

People - guy may not share the same interest in bikes as you do, he may be more of a balls out rider... as opposed to a sunday afternoon dawdler.. but hes still a person.

He may not post informative pieces in IB... but what he does post normally raises a few smiles... what we dont need is all these "your a knob..." "shut up or leave" kinda posts.

Give the kid a break.

In answer to the question - they'd probably think you're a twit anyway.

I remember once sat on a bus, and a bike came past on the back wheel. Two girls sat in front of me started talking about bikers.. one said "god they look so hot and fit in those leathers riding those fast machines" the other replied "yup, but the majority are *****s when they take their helmets off though."

I'd like to add that Sid is a top bloke and I think there should be a whole forum section dedicated to Sid Squid, a shine so to speak!

Also, I don't add anything of use to this forum, but I've been here a while and I think most people ignore me now.....which is probably best as I think I just get in the way, ask Viney, I'm in his way often :?

but in all seriousness (which is rare for me), this web site is all very lighthearted, take nothing seriously, and worship Sid Squid.

Guy,

You might think that Siq Squid is a d*ckhead but if you actually had two brain cells to rub together, you'd realise that not only is he not stupid, he's someone whose respect you might want to earn because he's very helpful, knowledgeable and good willed and is a good person to know if you need advice on bikes. But then, since you don't have two brain cells and you ARE a d*ckhead, you haven't realised that.

As Steve says, "GET OVER IT". I'd like to personally add: "OR LEAVE", because you don't contribute anything positive to this community.

Lee.

I beg to differ, I found your drunk Scooter rider post of a while back rather offensive and also your sexist jokes other forum members found offensive as well.

I think the trouble is Guy you wound a lot of people up the wrong way when you posted that. I would humbly suggest that maybe you should think a little more about what you post before you post it. Sometimes I think just like to post to wind people up and that some people also bite far to easily and maybe perhaps dont take your posts in the tongue in cheek style that you perhaps mean them in.

Respect is a two way thing it must be earnt as well as given.

And modest... Did we mention he was modest tooo

I don't tend to wheelie the bike in town but if I could wheelie better I probably would more often for my own gratification than anyone else...

That said it's like watching any stunt riding videos a large part of watching any risk is hoping to see someone fail, if it was safe it wouldn't be exciting. and if you're wheelying past a kids school expect to be hated, and to never see daylight if caught (Rightly so!)

No idea what girls think but I'd guess the ones that think it's really cool are probably the same ones that want you to "Go in the shop and get us 20 benson yeah innit cus that bloke in there won't sell us dem naahhh" so not really my sort of bird

So. Ladies generally arent that into wheelies, I think. (At least the ones I tend to like.)

They like when you get them little things and do thoughtfull things for them. And, be asked about how they are and stuff. And be relaxed, and make them laugh, and generally be yourself.

Here, lets just chill with the GuyOwen is a knob thing. Maybe he is a bit of a troll, or not, but, you know, there is no need to bite and get all worked up.
This forum's users are cooler than that.

Of course. But, like, if you either ignore him, or answer his dopey questions in a really boring way, he will either
1)bugger off, or
2)eventually realise that the likes of Sid Squid Scoobs Jelster Big Ape blah blah blah are useful sound people, and are worth having there for a bit of advice when he crashes and knackers up his bike.

Instead of 'Do wheelies impress the ladies?' try this.....

I practiced in a quiet place and succeeded. I have tried in the presence of women, but even with the patience and concentration of a Buddhist monk I just can't get it up at all. Now what do you think of me ladies?

As your other one's locked I thought I'd reply here as I think your posts are amusing:

So re the Stoppie:

I think it would probably scare the crap out of them and definitely draw their attention. The great thing about it is they will all rush over to help you up off the ground when you fall on your face. You never know you may even get a phone number off one of them as they would have seen the entire incident and offer to be a witness for your insurance claim. If this happens you may even get to call them up afterwards to meet up for a coffee or a drink and relive the experience again. If you get this far you may even get some action and it will all be worth it.

Then again if you do a massive stoppy and fall on your face they may just laugh at you like they usually do.

I was pulling onto the M1 last summer (in my 4-wheeled-mobile) and a guy flew past in the middle lane, with cars in the lanes either side, doing about 75mph, on his back wheel - for at least 30 seconds.

I thought - "what a c*ck".

I am a girl.

Does that answer your question? (Or is this the stoppies post? I've forgotten).

But if someone wants to wheelie without posing a danger to anyone else, then fine by me.

And Spidey, we all fancy you, regardless of your abilities to get your front end up (or was it your **** you couldn't get in the air? Again, it's slipped my mind).
