Hello everyone,
Is anyone here a memeber of total fitness? I have just joined i think it is great loads of equipment, swimming pool, sauna etc and all for £30 a month.
I have had a great idea how to make your bike go faster! Lose weight, i go to the Gym most nights now and the pounds are litterally falling off. I figure the lighter i am the better my bike will perform. + I will also benefit from improved health, its the first ever win win situation i have discovered in this otherwise lose lose world.
Is anyone else losing weight for the sole purpose of making their bike go quicker (and to look better for the birds while doing stoppies and monster wheelies in town)
L8rs Guy
Have you thought of removing the wheels of your bike, that will make it lighter?

surley bulimia is the more conveniant answer in todays rush rush society guy? I never really get the time to go to the gym you see
You could have your skeleton removed and replaced with titanium 'bones'. That should save a few ounces.
Or go for a really big dump before going for a ride.
Or just have a really small pillion..............I'm only 4 ft 10 and 7 stone soaking wet..............but i'm already taken, sorry :D
Chortling here in Plymouth...   I'll have to clean my screen off!!

Never really understood gyms - seems to be full of people simulating exercise on machines, instead of riding a real bike or going for a real walk :?:

Some of us get our excercise by pushing our luck in work all day ;) I have a physical enough job to do anyway, and I aint paying for torture after work as well! rather be on the bike! 8)

There was a guy on visordown a while back getting all excited at his weight los because he'd replaced the disc bolts with titanium. I suggested he take a number 2 before he takes his next ride, since it'd save more weight. He wasn't amused.

um, I go to the gym and I put weight on. This isn't cos I'm doing it wrong either.
Anyway, I've always found the sv handles better with a bit more weight on it. May just be me, but a bit of extra weight and it seems to drop in and corner better and feels more stable.

My thoughts exactly, on the rare occasions that I walk or ride a pushbike, I'm quite enamoured with the way that the scenery subtly changes as I go. I'm sure that I'd miss this on an 'excercise' (not) bike. But I'm not going to find out.

By this logic my bike must be the best handling SV in the world then.

There's not much logic behind a lot of what I say, I just say what I feel...
Guy,
Have you got a bike yet?
Lee.
Yeah he rides it ..........................................in the gym.

OK, where the "30% off if you join now".
it's an add, right :?:
So how much are they donating to the site :?:
If not, then, yes I know what a gym is, yes I know what fitness is, and yes I'm capable of joining one if I want
Is this supossed to be some sort of revilation or something :?:
Cheers Mark.
I'd suggest removing your head with a rusty hacksaw if you want to quickly lose a few pounds of useless fat!
