Feels strange being on a naked with such wide bars. Hopefully the weather will clear tomorrow and I'll be able to put a few miles on it.

Looks real nice in red. Did you have the rims painted or is that the way the new ones are?

Looks nice Steve, I particularly like the white flash on the tail. Renthals? All you need now is a decent high-level can (and that dreadful tea-tray cut off) and it'll be sorted. Nice one  .

Enjoy.

Thanks for the nice words all.

The bike was styled by West London Suzuki. The number boards have a gold pinstripe, that matches the wheels and the gold Renthals. I got a black hugger rather than red, and intend to put on a high level can as well.

WLS currently have a red "S" with similar styling in their showroom but personally I would have preferred all the nice touches on a black one, it would awesome. But the black ones ran out months ago.

I've got a look in my head that I'm working to, which includes a one piece Baglux touring seat, the high level can and few other little touches, but as it's a 2nd bike I'm not going over the top.

The company I work for has recently been taken over so my share options paid out, which just about covered the cost of the bike and the insurance.

The 'Blade can now have a full strip down of the bodywork and serious clean, and a few goodies so it's ready for the Spring.

When the sun comes out I'll get some better pictures.

Very nice indeed! Definitely needs a tail tidy and a can tho - that bazooka and show shovel really let down an otherwise cool bike!

The number boards break up the red just lovely. And I don't think I need to tell you where I stand on gold wheels ;) Excellent looking bike.

PS for sale: 2 gold wheels ;) Front is for a SRAD, rear is an SV, so you'd need a GSXR front end to get it to fit.

Err no, all those miles is best done on something faired, so I expect I'll be on the 'Blade. But it should be at AR'06

how happy have you been with WLS, because i think they r crap.
i got my bike from them and they charged me for the 1st service (labour) and when i took it in the second time for the 4k it came out covered in sh*t and i had to spend 2 hours cleaning it to what it looked liked before i put it in, so since i got my city and guilds (in motorcycle engeering) i do my own services, 14500miles next saturday

Mark and Ray have always been great. If you have a problem, tell them. They have always been 100% with me, and did some warranty work which my original dealer kept putting off.

Hey Steve,

Congrats on the new ride!! That looks great. Sorry, this has most likely been explained but I am tired and lazy... Is that stock? Or were the Renthals, rims, hugger, and fender extender aftermarket? Also, is the white on the tail stock? Again sorry... :(

ENJOY!!!

Mitch,

The dealer took a stock bike, had the paintwork done, and stuck the renthals on. I ordered it with heated grips, fender extenda and hugger.

Rode into work today for the first time. Felt very different to my 'Blade.

Hey Steve,

Bike looks great! You will get used to it's style soon enough. :)

They came with the bike. Bike was from West London Suzuki (www.westlondonsuzuki.co.uk) 020 8831 9011. Speak to Mark and ask him how much to get your wheels done. Although I don't want everybody getting in on the game

Powdercoating my wheels in gold (inc the sprocket carrier) cost me £100, FWIW. Nice.
