I'ma two SV'r also..

hire bike arrived yesterday and they left my old one behind.. they given me naked pointy one.. and have to be honest i prefer my faired curvy by a country mile.

(ducks for cover)

missus is going mad for cluttering the garden with bikes.. i on the other hand think theres room for at least two more.

fortunately because i'd ducked for cover i missed your clip around the back of the head.

i find it all just a bit too upright, bars feel like a wide harley, wind protection - well there isnt any, but you'd expect that. Just generally a bit disconnected from it all.

brakes are better than mine... so thats a positive and its a tad smoother.

and on a very controversial note, previously i'd fancied a pointy thought they looked nice, but when they're next to each other...well, i find the shaping of the tank crude, back ends a bit ugly (but can be sorted with hamnicad).

anyway, i dislike it to the point of i'll be sending it back once insurance assessor has seen mine and fit the brake levers needed on mine out of my own pocket!!..

No it simply makes you half as good  .

Look forward to seeing you back on an SV, and I might even buy you a coffee if you turn up riding it to Frith st ;).

kjames...i rodfe a naked silver pointy on saturday, compared to my 2000 s model it felt slightly smoother but what you say about upright, lack of wind protection is true, and the brakes were better, although they were braided hoses and mine arent...must do that really!!

i think my brakes are probably just a bit sh*te. although i prefer them not to be too sharp as theres more chance of locking the front and i never really brake 100%.

I've got 2 sv's as well. A 2000 naked and a fully faired K5, and i have to say the K5 is much smoother and nicer to ride. (and it looks miles better   )
