As some of you may be aware, I had recently decided to buy a new bike! Well today was the day the new one arrived. So I have sold the SV to make room for my new toy...
A Yellow Suzuki K4 GSX-R600..
I thought I would share some freshly taken pictures.
What do you think?

I love K4 Gixers
Much better than standard (chav) blue & white. You'll love it. It looks standard, so you'll still be getting that fantastic induction roar from the airbox every time you open it up  .
Get an Akrapovic or a CCC can on it and release the beast.
Now if you think "turn" you will  Have fun, and take it easy.
.
Excellent another yellow and black GSXR ;)

Now that's the "best" colour... But yellow is definately better than blue & white....

LOL...you know what they say...Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!!!
Nice though...
Personally I don't like the blue and white gixxer's, so was never gonna get one of those and I've always liked louder coloured bikes! My SV was Silver but I think stood out...
Yellow I think accentuates the bike in all the right ways and is a real head turner...black I think mask some of the contours!
But am sooo gonna be biased for a bit anyway ;-)

Just be ready to clean the flies off of it in Summer. You should see the state Topcat's FireBlade gets when we're out on a sunny day
So, who's the next to cross to the dark side ??

Can't wait...bring em on! But getting the flies on there in the first place is worth the hassle of having to clean em off!! Roll on Spring!!!
Hmmm...yes...the IL4 temptation...bet when they look this good its makes the decision easy! I did think today when I started the gixxer up that is a was a very "normal" bike sound...not the rumbling purrr of my SV! But I am sure once a new can is on I will think differently again!
nice one, how much was it?

Blimey, straight to the point...
I paid just over £4k for it, its got 2700 miles on the clock (2 previous owners, but last owner didn't ride it once...I'm being serious) and is absolutely mint, as you can see! I personally think I've got a bit of a bargain!
Glad you lot approve  :?
Ah, another IL4, This is becoming contageous.
lovely gixxer, different colour from blue/white which is what i like to see
Welcome to the club

very nice, i wish i had a spare 4K lying around :(
The wheels though, i think either yellow rim tape or paint them blue. i know this sounds  but find the right shade (yellow and blue go together) it will look great i think!!

Rather nice in the yellow I reckon, better than the usual blue and white.
Thought they were a bit bland to ride though, it's just too smooth and...well...characterless. :? Mind you that was just about town, very quick steering, amazing brakes but the engine...hmm.
Each to their own.

What ???
Even in town the Gixer is great, just leave it in first and go from one set of lights to the next (and try and keep the front down...) The K4 Gixer is the best commuting bike I have ever owned... It so slim it eases through traffic, shoots off at the flick of the wrist, and is so well balanced at slow speeds - I have had the bike stationary for a few seconds, 2 up without putting my feet down, it's that good.
And when you get on the open road, well, even with the std can, the induction roar is so loud it makes you giggle....
Characterless ?? I don't think so...... But then we're all different.

First lengthy trip out at the weekend. Loved it. The GSXR is comfortable, extremely refined on part throttle through town. To be honest, I thought I would miss the SV for longer....150 miles later....SV...what SV? The soundtrack to the Gixxer is phenomenal and am looking forward to putting a End can on and the long summer nights....
Here's a photo of me and my two mates bikes parked up for a cuppa and a fag on a rather leisurely winter cruise out on the B6047 (Leicester to Melton)

With that weather, the season is starting earlier and earlier...but was bloody cold!!!
