do i need to get a new relay when fitting LED indicators?

You can get resistors for each led that you wire in. I got some from Maplins but they were running too hot for my liking and so i got the 2 quid ones from Hein Gericke....work great and come with instructions if you need em. They feel and look a lot safer than the ones i got from Maplin.

just get a new relay there are only about £15 and they are plug & play :wink:

I have these fitted to my SV1k They come with the correct resistor so no need to mess with the relay. Mine are mirror polished http://www.watsendesign.com/

Far as i am aware that is not the case for a k3 sv onwards as the relay is incorporated with some other circuit and not just the turn signals

What about for the curvy models?

Anyway i went out today and got some indicators and resistors from hein gericke, wont be fitting them until next week though

for the K3 onwards a relay is not possible because the oe one is inbuilt into the fusebox. you need resitors.

Set it up but do not cut the wire on the indies until you are sure they are as bright as you want em.
