Suzuki DR650 / Honda SLR650 / BMW F650?

I want to get some type of single while my bike is out of action.

I only realy have about 1k to spend, realy just want a rag that runs.

I am split between a DR650 / SLR650 / F650.

I am closer to the DR650 than any of the others.

Anyone have any good or bad things to say about them?

Reason i have chosen the above 3 is that they are not harsh on my insurance with the SV as an extra bike.

Think it was the previous owner who just treated the bike like ****...

You can pick up a 1996-1998 F650 for about a grand, it's not a bad bike and will do 60mpg. Rotax single cylinder engine with dual spark plugs is pretty much bulletproof, but the paint around the engine casing peels really badly. Top speed is 115 mph.

Buy a white one, add some fluorescent stripes on the fairing and look at the surprised faces on car drivers when they realise you're not a police bike! :lol:
