Hiya,

I need to renew my travel insurance and wondered if anyone here had any recommendations for firms that include biking under the insured activities? Most travel insurance specifically excludes it :(

Thanks in advance!

Have a look at Traffords... expensive, but covers all sorts of things. I used to use it because it covered me as "Pilot In Command".

I went to Spain last week specifically for biking, both on and off road. The best cover and quote, believe it or not, was from The Post Office. It covered all aspects of legal biking, plus medical cover. £15 for 4/5 days. And all done quickly online.

Post Office for me too. I use annual european policy. Not the cheapest but in the right ball-park and as you suggest, it does cover normal bike use (not just 50cc etc like many do).

Boots Travel Insurance cover bikes - the only stipulation is that the rider must have a full UK bike licence.

Cost was approx £90 for an annual policy - but that did include winter sports and worldwide cover, so it's bound to be more than a policy that excludes the USA + Canada and/or winter sports.
