How dare he bloody talk about a Honda like that !!!

and with a simple gesture, a new label is found

AND LO, CHARLEY "Obi Wans mate" BOORMAN HAS DECREED; YEA VERILY, THAT ALL HONDAS BE KNOWN BY THEIR TRUE TITLE:

A BIT "TAKE THAT"

Robbie Williams must be so proud

:laughat:

ok but aside from the mocking due any H*nd*, damn fine bit of bike related TV. When I heard the words "california" and "easy rider" I expected another cringe worthy Goldwing / Harley fat ******* tour of very straight roads.

but then Obi's Mate appears and hugs an R6
and compares a H*nd* to Take That (again :laughat: )
then talks about twisties and lovely corners
then spends 1200 quid of license fee money on the California Superbike School  and talks to a sun dried Keith Code
(I would much rather £1200 be spent on that then a months worth of Eastenders script afterall)

Damn fine

You aren't alone in thinking that... There's an article in the back of this month RiDE (who Boorman now writes for,) he writes about his failed Paris Dakar run (pictures of his broken hands all strapped up... Poor Charlie

A bit off topic but talk about tall poppy syndrome. Good on Charlie for making the most of what he has... any promotion of Motorcycling to Joe Public has got to be good for the awareness of motorcyclists and lobbying support when its needed.

I really couldn't give a :toss: what someone who is solely famous for being the mate of a film actor thinks of Honda - or Yamaha come to that !!

BTW - HERE (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0095564/) is a link to his page on IMDB - see if you've ever even heard of any of the films he's done !!

Ha ha ha.

I used to own a Take That but I now have a proper bike (even if it is still in bits).

A mate of mine also had a Take That VFR800 but has now sold it and has a gixer.

I think it rolls off the tongue quite well...
