The wife and daughter are about to take me to some place called "The Trafford Centre", as I have yet to arrange their christmas presents. I honestly thought christmas was a time when I received presents, nobody said anything about giving them.
Apparently I am to be taken shopping, I am not allowed to shout at the dumbo who doesn't know what coffee is and start pratting on about latte, capachino etc. "F***ing coffee!". I am to stand outside changing rooms trying to catch a glimpse of some young lady in her skimpies and apparently I get to pay for this torture.
Has any other bloke been subjected to this devilish form of female revenge. Will I learn to enjoy it is a true masocistic way, or will I end up a bit GYKD. Oh Err missus. I think I need a stiff drink before this begins. Do you think they will drop me off at a bar and just call when they need the reassuarance that their bums do look big.
Oh god their looking for me already.

Some people pay good money for that!!! The torture is you can't join em, I love wearing skimpies... D'oh wrong forum
Your doomed to a day of misery.
Be afraid. Very afraid - and make a break for it while you still can.
Oh dear
You have my deepest sympathies. I absolutely HATE shopping, unless it's for bike stuff. I don't even do the food shopping...............that's Pete's job :D

I used to love shopping for bike stuff. Since Mrs Ape has become a pillion, it's a nightmare. Now when we go in the bike accessory shops I have to entertain the kids whilst she tries on just about every set of womens leathers they have.
I'm taking a day off work on Friday to go shopping with Mrs Scoobs. Quite enjoy it myself.
Best bit of advice for you...leave ya credit cards at home

Now you say. Damm £270 lighter
Tim. I live 2 mins from the "centre" and my advice to you would be RRRRUUUUNNNNNN. It's OK for posers and the like but not my cup of tea although the mrs loves it, shoes & handbags and all that stuff. IF and I mean IF you have to get dragged along there is a cinema there so try and arrange a trip when there's something on at the cinema you fancy watching and leave them to do the shopping. Works for me :D

I also live very close, and Bonart has it exactly right, posers galore.
Also, remember its one of (if not the) biggest indoor shopping centres in europe, so when somebody says its a day out, it IS a day out.
Good luck, although its probably nearly over for you now.
I used to work there too, cant stand to drive past the place now.
so - so sorry for you mate.
once spent whole day from 9.00am to 5.00pm looking at shoes with she who must be obeyed and ended up buying them from first shop she looked in.
vowed never again. :D :D
You’ll love it. Especially in weather like this. The sun streams in through the glass roof and you can walk round in you tee-shirt and shorts in the air conditioned comfort, watching all the totty posers do the same. There’s a superb curry bar in Selfridges and Tiggy’s Restaurant is really good also. Sit outside the Trafford Arms with a pint and watch the Totty world go by.
Mrs Ratty, the Rugrats and myself like to go for a walkabout and a Pizza Hut on a Friday evening.
Things to remember: Don’t park on the upper level because the strong antenna can immobilise your car (common problem) and make sure you leave your coat in the car.
Oh.. and there’s some shops. (One of which is a great model shop so you can buy yourself some toys).

I'm glad I'm not the only person this happens too :!:
I DETEST 'shopping' :!:
I go, I buy, I come home again... I don't 'browse' all day and say "I couldn't really find what I was looking for"
