Everything is sitting ready to go for about 7'ish.

Tonight we will be mostly having pancakes with.............

Chocolate sauce
Honey
Lemon
Sugar
a Strawberry sauce of some description
and that squirty cream that the boys insisted on getting.

The older one wanted to try it as soon as he got home from the shop. O.K I said, he shook it and hit the trigger and all that came out was the gas or whatever is used in them.
Eventually he got the cream after a few shots of gas.

Looking forward to them later, although I'll just stick to the honey, mmhhhh.

was the gas or whatever is used in them.

.

That gas or whatever - they used to use nitrous oxide as a propellant - apparently makes you go 'a bit funny' when you snort it.

I've just made the batter 8) .

Firstly I'm having savoury pancakes which will have a ham, mushroom and cheese type source I'll knock up. This will be accompanied with a hot roll out of the oven and a glass of Innis & Gunn ale.

Then the sweet pancakes will have banana, honey, and rich melted chocolate, topped with fresh cream - yum!

Well Mrs jonboy said she was going out for the night so why shouldn't I indulge myself a little? ;)

For Shrove Tuesday it has to be

Lemnon - no sugar

Most other times its Raspberrys and Vanila icecream.
If I thinkabout it in time the raspeberrys get to spend some time soaking in Brandy.

Home made batter here too.

One with lemon and sugar
One with maple syrup, lots, it was the end of the bottle!
And one with carnation milk as I don't like cream much.

Washed down with a glass of Tennents Velvet 70/-

Now feeling a little overindulgent.

I'm refusing to follow the herd and have pancakes tonight. I'll eat them when I feel like it, not because we're 'supposed to' tonight. :D

It honestly takes no more than two minutes to make a decent home made batter - why don't you show her who's boss and make it yourself ?
