View Full Version : Nice day for it (or was it!)
Nice blue skies today so I thought I'd pop out for an hour. Got about 3 minutes from home and my fingers are getting a little numb. 10 minutes in and they're starting to hurt. Had to turn back at this point but had started on the loop road so it was about 15-20 minutes back, rest of the journey was unbelievably painful (especially at speed  ), felt like someone was tightening clamps on my fingers...was finding it hard to brake/change gear! Ah, that'll be the frost bite setting in
Thought my leather gloves would be ok with "magic" gloves underneath but was so wrong. You've been warned!

goof, get yourself some decent gloves mate
picked up a pair of dainese winter gloves at the brum bike show, they look the part, have titanium knuckles and well protected in general but as they are wind and waterproof and really well padded & lined (they dont feel restrictive either when using the controls), this makes them mega warm & toasty :D
also got a wee cheapo pair of harley goretex gauntlets, they're really toasty as well
Are the gloves too tight ?
I always buy a size bigger so the old digits have room to breathe
Yeah, I know mate, my own stupid fault I suppose...shoulda known the gloves wouldn't have been "magic" Never had anything like that before though, was ruddy agony!

I have a set of spada winter gloves quite good...could do better.
I now have heated grips............GREAT... just did a 250 mile trip in freezing conditions hands were fine
Really? I thought the heated grips were pretty lame (at least unless they're paired with a wind-shield). Also heard the left bar never works because of something to do with the battery!
Cracking day again btw, resisting the urge now that my fingers have turned black
