We'll still be at Bassetts Pole in the morning, ready for the ride to Matlock Bath. Hopefully will have a few members of our Bike club with us, including a girl on a brand new Daytona 675.

The bike shop at Matlock may not be open, the last time I went the cafe was open but not the bike bit due to having no bikes. Will ride past on way & have a look.

What's the weather, road conditions like out your way 22?

roads are wet due to having enough sand/grit on them to fill a dessert, otherwise sunny, clear but sprinkling of snow off roads, much the same as yesterday.

Well my road is still slippery underfoot, whereas yesterday all the roads around here were dry and salt free.
Sun's out, but even then the white stuff ain't shifting.

Don't mind the cold, but ice is something you can't deal with.

Thinking I'm gonna postpone until next weekend.

I'll be there. Scenery will be grand and the A6 will be well gritted. Won't stray off main road and will take it very steady. I'll look for the blue SV with purple wheels. Will you be on the main strip? There's a good caff at the south end.

Edit - just realised that two people will be on the same bike. Does that mean no-one is going other than me and Saint Matt? I don't need to have a meet with him as he happens to be my son !!

Nah..................I needed a pee and there was a handy ditch there :D

What I didn't realise though, was that the ditch had a MUCH lower bank road-side than hedge-side. All the drivers going past had a LOVELY view of my **** :oops:
