Love it. Not sure when its back on though.
Don't seem to mention here either http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/
Excellent show.
Top Gear - The Challenges is on tomorrow night, which sould be good.
BBC 2 9.00, I think.
I have mixed feelings on Top Gear.
I find Clarkson and James May entertaining, but I think Hammond is a rubbish road tester and thus find him annoying.
It just gets a bit boring afterwhile watching them hooning about in cars that most of the population will never be able to afford
A good road test of a more "normal" car if done properly is far mor interesting and entertaining. Tom Ford is a excellent exponent of this

I liked the one where Hamster and May where in the aeroplane (quite a challenge for James may as he had only just got his pilots licence) although this is spoiled by Hammonds constant, pathetic whining.
I'd like to see a realistic challenge in which Clarkson might actually have a chance of losing. How about
Good rider + Honda Blackbird (or similar) vs Clarkson in whatever supercar is flavour of the month. Across the alps and through two major city centres.
I know who my money would be on.

My friend flew that plance on friday (hius dads mate let him have a fly in that exact plane, how cool!)
i like top gear, Hammond is funny and clarkson is a kn*b but you just seem to like him take the p!ss out of everthing, tho what i do hate is he always slags off cars that he will go out and buy! everycar thats not worth over £500,000 is not a cr*p car!
May be a delay to the new series, they're possibly being kicked out from the current test track

****ing people off is how Clarkson makes his money, It his profession, just take him with a pinch of salt...
They aren't getting kicked off the current track for a few years so plenty of time to find a new one.
I think they are running out of ideas at the moment.
They have done the silly challenges to death and are starting to repeat themselves. Its obvious the challenges are set up though so I wouldn't take them too seriously.
They have also done the caravan smashing to death be it playing conkers or smashing other things into them.
They have also done the army thing to death - Jeremy drives a fancy car whilst the army/navy/airforce try to blow it up etc.
That is the 3 basic things they do so they need to come up with some idea's. Finding an interesting way to do proper reviews on proper cars would be something really difficult but really entertaining if they pulled it off - e.g. the Aygo although that wasn't exactly informative when it came to talking about the car. The City Rover was probably one of the best examples of what they should be doing.
When they have done features on normal cars they have been really pointless - e.g. the Golf GTI. They point out that you can buy half a dozen hot hatches for less money, they sent them all around the track, the Golf gets absolutely raped buy its cheaper rivals but then Clarkson recommends buying the Golf?!? Whatever.
YEah but if you know about cars you would understand why he'd still go for a GTi..... Its more than just hooning it round the track.
Turbo lag, torque, drivability, fuel economy, materials used in the car etc...
I remember top gear when they did bike tests too. After all the name of the show is 'Top Gear' not 'Top Car'.

I'm not sure what point you are making there because they are all reasons NOT to buy the Golf!. The Civic has no turbo lag, the Megane and Leon are more driveable, they probably all have better economy and the Golf is probably the second worse for build quality after the Megane (its not the 80's anymore)!
In fact Clarkson admitted the Civic was a far better car (even if it wasn't £5k/25% cheaper it would still be a better car) but his reason for not buying the Civic was because "at the end of the day you would have a Honda"!!! WTF?
I pay my TV licence for reviews like that!? I would still only be interested in the track times though - after all is a "GTI" not an "LS".

Someones got up in a bad mood today
The golf build quality is very good. It hasn't got any turbo lag on it, one of the good points on the 200bhp engine.
The civic has no lag, but you need to rev it past 6000rpm to even get it moving.
Megane, terrible build quality, its slow, it looks rediculas.
Leon is also bland looking, not personnally for me
Yeah, a honda, a breadvan driver, branded as a t0sser before you even get in the car, mostly driven by Schumacher wannabes who think they are gods on the road.
Thats why were going for a VXR, build quality isn't great, but its a lot of fun.
Clarkson is usually right in what he says, if you listen closley he always gives pros and cons for each car...
i.e
Astra VXR, didn't handle ...... Thats because he got the pre production car without the VXR suspension, but on a normal Mk5 suspension, Top Gear were told this but insisted on having the car anyway.......
And he said it torque steared, ummmm, of course, it has over 200bhp in FWD, whats the point in building a mad hot hatch if its goign to be boring to drive....
My personal choice would go....
Astra VXR
Golf GTi
Focus ST
Leon
Bredvan
Megan

So watch 5th Gear then as thats what they do?
Top Gear, the name kinda suggests its not going to be about the latest Fiesta 1.1 and Corsa 1.2.......
