Hi Folks,
Haven't posted for a wile, but I got the blue cow out of her safe today to clean her, she's mingin' and I've never seen rust like that on the a chain
Anyway, managed to lube the chain, WD40 dired off then lubed.
A while back I had new tyres put on her, METZ and done a quick tyre pressure check, noticed 35psi in front and 34 on back???
Is this right folks?
What are the official pressures for the Metz's. I know, before you give me a kickin' this shoukd ein the tyre section, and the answer isprobably already there. Sorry!
Cheers - Mass
The standard SV's pressures are 33 front and 36 rear, generally irrespective of tyre make. However there's certainly a little room for experimentation and some people (including me) like them a little firmer - I run 35 front/38 rear.
My advice would be to put them back to Suzuki's specs and then experiment by 2 psi each time till you find what works for you - going past 40f/42r wouldn't be advisable I suggest.

If I remember rightly when I had Metzler tyres on I ran 42 rear 38 front.
I was told to have 36f - 42r for my Metz roadtecs by the guys at essential rubber tyres.
For most tyres it will be 33/36 front/rear. When I got my new tyres (Z6s also at Essential) they said 36/42, however having run that for a while on my old tyres I was extremely sceptical, so made them check. They should be 33/36, most other bikes they will be 36/42.
However, whatever works for you. 36/42 was way to twitchy for me. 33/36 feels about right.

Cheers empty,
I'll try those pressures over the next week and see how they feel.

You didn't say which Metzelers it is? I run the Roadtecs at 36/39, they just feel better at those pressures. But I always ran the Sportecs at 33/36.
