Oh one more thing I watched Torque the other night wasted an hour and a half of my life. Its as far fetched as **** from china. Terrible move but I was warned.
Bottom link doesn't work.
I have been looking forward to this for a while - not your usual Sir Anthony Hopkins stuff.
Agree with you about Torque - load of b*ll*cks that was.

Same here,
As much as I like Harley's and big V twins always thought The Indian had a natural charm about it like the old classics had , so will be good to see it when it's out,
And as for bike/biker films very few are worth the effort to go and see it but this does look like one to watch

They where both daft enjoyable films, both made with Hollywood licence. Just remember, anythings possible on film.
Now, the worlds fastest indian is based on true fact, so should be a bit better.
I read somewhere that the current land speed record for a motorbike, is held by a Harley Davidson!!!! Not sure if this is correct.

Seen it already
Take a look - I think you will all like it a lot and not be dissapointed at all.
Points to note:
Hopkins accent in this movie is just like they talk in that part of NZ
Bike replica built for the movie is Ducati powered.
I ve seen the replica running - take serious gutsy rider to want to ride it.

Absolute bummer. Just been to book tickets at my cinema for Friday and they are not going to show the film. So looks like I will have to await the DVD.:ranting: :ranting:
Just come back from watching the 'Worlds Fastest Indian' I thoroughly enjoyed it, well worth seeing even if you have no interest in bikes!
Antony Hopkins plays the part superbly and you can't fail to love his character.
And I love the line in the flm which is roughly " You can live live more in 5 minutes on a bike than some people manage in a lifetime" How true.

BMW if I recall correctly. It was in one of the mags recently along with quite a bit more on the German marque. Big fast tourer it was.
Looking forward to seeing the film on Friday at the Glasgow Film Theatre (a specialist "arthouse" type venue) with the good ladys father (a time-served biker!). Watched the making of on M&M and it was cracking.
Cheers,
Garry

Harley.
(Two engines, one bike, 322.870 mph...)
"The front tire was also a constant source of trouble, since the only tire suitable for the attempt – 5.50 x15 Firestones rated at over 400 mph – were last manufactured in 1967, and the team had to make to with a limited number of rare second-hand specimens."
Bloody hell.
He dropped it doing 300. And walked away.

In that case then, the article must have been referring to PRODUCTION bikes. Never mind, I didn't say that I was sure.
You want to drop anything at 300? - Good luck to you.....

I know. You would probably want your Ferking leathers for that one alright.
Here, isnt the 'Busa the fastest production bike though? It is according to Suzuki anyway

Not sure about the BMW. It was, and I still believe it is, Hayabusa - the fastest production bike ever. All the manufactures agreed after that they will not be making faster bikes than that. I read it somewhere in TWO magazine so b0llock them if this is not correct information.

Well folks, we went to see the movie.
Both of us thought it was great. The venue was excellent and the film was very well made. Hopkins is great in it and the whole storyline was amazing. Liked the way that (due to the character) it was peppered with one liners all the way through too - made us chuckle.
Recommended.
