Hi everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself and say hello to the SV650 bunch.

Not a huge amount to say really apart from being at last back on decent wheels.

Anyway, the new addition to the household turned up last Wednesday, a red K5. I rode it 20 miles home and it started to snow, I'm really lucky that way. Still running in, another 250 miles to go, service is early April, might have to move it forward.

Impressions of the bike:

Love it! the engine feels like its starting to free up a treat. Positives, incredibly light, usable low down engine power and sounds good on the throttle up. Thinking of a fruity exhaust already. Lots of other stuff so I'll not try and preach to the converted. Oh and both headlights work.

Downside, I got overtaken by another SV on the way home today and could not follow with the 5000 RPM running in ceiling. The silver pointy in Chippenham is probably already a member here also. An 03 plate if I remember correctly

OK, I can't spell or type really well so I guess I correct many spelling mistakes by bad typing.

cuffy, you live in the land of the Magic Roundabout :) and work in Chippenham, I live in Chippenham work in Swindon just off J16. Proving useful to put the miles on the bike going the back roads via Lyneham, round trip about 50 miles, which is nice.

When I'm run in, well after the first service anyway we can sort something out for a run. Are there any other 'locals' around?

I like the distance between home and work, apart from when I work from home

I'm up for the Poole run when that starts (and run in), if my rather fading memory recalls it used to be Wednesdays or was it Tuesdays, I dunno my old memories are turning black and white

Hi, neighbour! I would have liked to say that it was me overtaking you but I don't
recall overtaking any SV's lately. In fact, there are very few SV's in our neck of woods.
