I own a curvy, but I have to admit I think I prefer the looks of the pointy! :)

Don’t get me wrong, I love my curvy, and I doubt there is much difference in the ride in reality is there?? But to me the pointy is cosmetically more appealing.

What do others think?? Pointy or Curvy?

*sob* I got a great deal on a Pointy so I sold my curvy. Its sat in the garage for a month before I sold it. I could only ride the Pointy because of the insurance. Anyway I sold the curvy to a friend so I had a blast on it, as I was insured to ride other people's bikes (insurance eh!).

Anyway CURVY RULES. What have I done

I agree with you that the pointy looks better but I just like the ride of the curvy better and tbh I like the carbs better too. I liked the rear break of the curvy it makes the one on the pointy feel none existent. I almost gave up on the pointy rear break an hardly ever use it.

There is so little difference in the real world, it really don't matter.

FWIW I prefer curvy 'S' and pointy 'N'.

This may not be surprising.

seems the curvy is the general fave?? :)

Diveboy – I haven’t ridden a pointy, so not qualified to comment on the ride, but I have to agree I find the curvy rear brake quite useful. Most modern (sports bikes) I have ridden have awesome front brakes, but the rear is as good as useless, it was refreshing to have a rear brake that actually did something!! :)

You reckon the mapping on the pointy isn’t that great either??? Presumably a power commander would sort??? But that isn’t the point!! (if you pardon the pun :D ).

I went to my local Suzuki dealer and testrode a low mileage 02 curvy
and right after that a brand new pointy.

Enginepower felt like it was no big difference but the chassis
of the pointy felt much sharper than the curvy.

So my wote goes for the pointy,i bought one in black, the fastest
colour

Like Sid, in standard trim I like curvy Ss and pointy Ns... As bikes to actually ride, I don't like the low-end fuelling of the FI so I'd choose a carbed one.

But I do like the pointy's brake light... Lovely.

Like them both but prefer the curvy over pointy. The curvy doesn't look as "unfinished" as the pointy if left standard.

What what on earth were they thinking with the pointies clocks. They're diabolical to look at. Urgh.

See now I think the pointy wins hands down on finish and I prefer the clocks on the pointy.

Me I prefer the older bike, this months BIKE agrees saying its the better looking of the two... As for riding I haven't ridden a new one so can't comment...

The black certainly minimizes the impact of the frame, but the swingarm and chain adjusters are dreadful, after the neat and sculptured look of the curvy. Prefer the position of the rear brake though, and I would love to have a digital speedo and temp gauge.

Rode my mates K4, two up. Thought it lacked midrange and tingled through the bars too.

Forgot to say that does look nice e.d.

Want a Curvy front and pointy back end. Have a 2000 curvy which was blue an now a shade of silver with the twin LED rear conversion. would love the landing lights on the back instead.

Esecially with the lowers it does look sweeeeet :)

Black is always a yes, but I do like the bike equally in the other colours.

Curvy if standard, pointy if with lower fairings. And black only

Well I guess if Bike magazine says so then it must be true! :D

Pointy for me though, although you could say I'm ever so slightly biased. 8)

Curvy in yellow is the one for me!!!

Could do without those scratches from a little dive down the road, but nothing a little paint can't fix :)

Pointy in blue (my fav color)...

Looks sharp and fast... and who needs brakes???? :)

I don't mind the back brakes... but have never ridden a curvey to compare...

Compared to my old kanatuna, they're great!

any curvy with the darker wheels and black engine, all the others are ok but just a bit lacking somehow.
