Just bought some, don't want to douse my bike in it until I've checked with you chaps.
Where and where not to apply it (brakes being the obvious one).
I was thinking pipes, engine casing, radiator grill, forks, rear shock etc.
Thanks,
Dan

I used to use the Scottoiler FS-365, but I hear the ACF-50 is better, so when my supply runs out I'll change - where did you get yours from ?
I used to spray it everywhere, except on the brake discs, the tyres and directly onto the front headlight - would make sure it got round the edges though. Occasionally I would be very careful, cover the discs, and spray some on the brake calipers taking care not to get it on the pads.
The exhaust used to 'steam' a bit when next starting it up, or if it was hot, but it never left any residue.
My bike was in good condition after riding everyday through winter, so I have to say it worked quite well in my opinion :D

Cool, thanks for that. I got mine from ebay. Search for acf 50 with the space otherwise it thinks you want to buy a af50 camera.
Do you use it on the bodywork too? What about polishing etc?

Yep, splosh it all over the bodywork no problems - although I really used to try to just coat anything metal
I sprayed mine all over the engine, brake calipers, rear shock etc. Didn't bother spraying the exhaust... that aint gonna rust and didn't spray it on the paintwork, but pretty much everywhere steel !!!
I use the stuff all over the bike ie fairings, engine, forks, swing arm, electrics on handlebars etc, just not on the discs. I usually put the can in a bucket off hot water first as this stop the acf50 comming out like shaving foam, spray on then rub in with a cloth, except for the engine which I just give a light spray.

I spray it everywhere but the brakes and exhaust. Brakes are obvious, and it's a waste on the exhaust since it'll burn off. I don't really do the radiator either, don't see much point.

Think I may spray on the rad and downpipes/collector box. Stainless or not they will rust. Thanks chaps.

It'll burn right off the exhaust... Give you a nice cloud of smoke, smell of marzipan and maybe discoloured headers but that's all.

I'd keep it off the radiator if I were you.... its good at preventing rust.. but it has a side effect.. all manner of crap sticks to it...
So if you put it on your radiator, it'll end up getting covered in dust and crudd.... not good when you want good airflow over it...

Mmmmm, marzipan...........
I'll wipe it around the edges of the radiator but not apply it to the vanes then. Thanks for your advice chaps.
