She is an 03 model with 700 miles on the clock 8)
Already got some presents for her - a double bubble screen, mirror extenders and a black hugger is on its way.
Hmm, what to name her?

Looks tidy that, and SUCH low milage. 8)
How about Persephone? Something different but with the same first letter as Phantom. Greek goddess of the underworld - you just try holding her horses back!
Honestly though - not too sure. I do like the CCC can 8)

lol, no not for sale!
Unfortunately, I haven't even ridden her yet  My knee still isn't really ready for it.
Hmm, also need to get crash bungs sorted too.

I do like a good CBR600F.
It's the bike I would like when I grow up.

Well done Kate, you can always make room in your life for a Honda
The 600F is a very nice bike too, it's a do it all supersport with added comfort. I think you'll like riding that around; bet it sounds nice too with that can.

Looks spot on Kate...I nearly had one of those...very comfortable 600!
You must be a very tall legged lady, as I struggled with the seat height....then again i'm only 29" inside leg :)
Enjoy her....she's look after you hopefully while u mend...
Take care!!

Hi Kate, nice wheels, my eldest brother has the same bike, although his is the white/black one, he's had it from new and used it everyday thoughout summer (he doesn't do winter riding) and not had a problem with it.
much underated, and can be ridden equally as pussy cat or tiger. how's the ride height for you? as Iknow your SV was lowered.
Cheers Mark.

Nice looking bike. Out of interest, don't you have 'blade as well? Not criticisng your choice of bike, but why get something similar if you've already got a sportsbike? I'm just intrigued; I'd get a tourer/off road bike/V Twin/something else. Is it for reduced running costs (less tyre wear, better fuel economy etc.) than the 'blade for day to day use and that is kept for weekends?

hmmm yes, nice H*nd* but where is your new bike?
I mean it would be quite disturbing if we had lost ANOTHER one to the IL4 brigade, but down right evil if that IL4 had a pointy wing thing on its tank.
I may get get all choked up, I swear there may even be tears

Problem with these Hondas is that they do what they're meant to, and very well too.... Some call that "bland" I call it quality....

Good to see that you're (almost) back on the road again!
Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the CBR once you've had a chance to ride it a bit...
Nice looking bike, enjoy it
I've seen the said bike and it is very clean and nice looking! Here's looking forward to some nice summer ridouts! 8)

Nope, no Blade here, never had one either. The CBR is a replacement for my SV that got written off in this accident http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=32882&highlight=
Hmm, Joe (Itching to Go) has just got a TL1000R, but no blade. Puzzled where the Blade has come from!
I can't wait to get riding but need to sort out insurance and crash bungs before I get out for a ride.

He's confusing you with "K" me thinks...
She has a 'Blade, '98 model I think.

very nice bike, shame it's not blue, the fastest colour  hope to see you and the bike on the rideout in July.

Very nice indeed, Kate!
Didn't realise it was such a low mileage, tidy bike when you told me you were getting it at SELKent last time... Does make me wonder why people buy bikes if that's the mileage they're going to do! :?
So - now you've got rid of the S2000, you felt you still needed a Honda in your life!!?
Look forward to seeing it soon!
When do I get a go?
When do I get a go?
After I've been on it!
Yup, 'tis me with the Blade (and SV, best of both worlds).
Very sweet bike there Kate, I can pretty much guarantee you'll enjoy it. The 600Fs are chameleons, they are all things to all riders in my opinion. You can snooze n cruise or bat outta hell it and it'll do everything inbetween - just depends on your mood or riding style.
I know many say they are really comfortable, but I actually find them a bit of a stretch for the ol shoulders. I'm teeny so actually prefer being curled up in a little ball on me Blade.
I don't get the comments about the ride height though - I'm only 5' 3 1/2" and have no issues with it as standard - but then perhaps I've just got freakily long legs for a shortarse!
How do you measure your inside leg? :?

( measurement of inner crotch to waist as standard)

Could you explain this statement........
It's got a decent colour scheme IMHO, and the "chav" look for bikes is definately the blue & white GSXR design, I mean, every chav with a bike has a 5 year old Gixer in "traditional" colours.

Agreed!
Anyway, the CBR looks very nice indeed, especialy in the flesh, as it were.
29" then... is that average for 5'4"?!
Kate, how tall are you?

I concur.
I remember borrowing my mates a year ago and spending a day out over the Lakes with it. Did hartside pass, the cafe, via Alston etc. Went into Newcastle, down the Quay side for a coffee and bite to eat. Then back down the A1 at about 10pm. I was sat on A1 steady away.... the suddenly realised that i was doing 110! I swear it felt no more than 70, and the engine was just ticking over. Truely an amazing bike.
When i get my license back, im after one of those.. or a hornet 6.

reminds me of an old shellsuit i had in the 1980s ;)
plain colours are the way to go for bikes!

I'm about 5'1" with an inside leg measurement of about 26/27". Yep, I'm a shortarse. I had to lower the SV quite a bit which is why it was the lowest SV about. Now that its written off, the honour of having the lowest SV goes to Samnooshka.
