its ok if your not going to try and sell it... Coupars in fife endded up taking all the orange stuff off a whole load of GSXR600's cause they couldn't get rid of them...
Personnally I think it looks smart!!!

I heard that they did that to try and sell them as a "Limited Edition", similar to the all black Gixer Thou' LE model. As it wasn't an official Suzuki model they got a mixed reaction.

I'd like it without the orange. But people see respray and they think "crashed bike". Sometimes it's true, in my case it's purely a coincidence :)

i really like it, what color is it at the moment??
It is red at the moment. I only got it in december but someone has managed to chip some paint off the side of the tank (It was parked next to a moveable bollard and someone must have reversed into the bollard and it chipped some of the paint off the tank)
I always fancied a matt black bike, and really like the few orange details. I know it might be hard to re-sell but i will get it done properly by Dream Machine. So hopefully it will look the dogs nads!!
I plan on keeping it for a few years at least anyway.
personally I think its the dogs soft fleshy bits, have you had a quote on how much its going to cost as not wanting to be a copy cat but I've always wanted to do somethin similar with my Curvy which I have to admit has been crashed (not my fault I add!)
cheers and good luck!
Gonna get a quote this week. Will post it when i get a reply.

Heard a few tales about Dream Machine.
Guy on the SOC told them to paint his bike such and such a scheme, but they went ahead and did something different, and were then very reluctant to fulfill his bidding when he complained.
Anybody else had problems with them?
Why not take a couple of pics in the painters workshop just prior to the respray as evidence of no accident damage.

YUp, they're legendary for that, sort of like Zorstec. Artists eh? :) One of the guys on Oldskoolsuzuki took them his 7/11. Paint it gloss black with a yellow stripe. 3 weeks later, he goes by to pick it up. Gloss black, check. Yellow stripe, check. Picture of a shark on the tank?
It was a good shark though.
lol... maybe take the bike there and just go... make it look blinding...

Tried that, they poked him in the eye with a paintbrush.

Not sure why but I found that really funny... considering how bad a joke it is.

Made me laugh to
Think that paint job would look pretty good.
Heard some not so good things about dream machine as well

Bad joke, but state of the art delivery.

Surely the delivery is down to the timing, I didn't get it - must be my slow dial up connection??
Wouldn't help resales values but if you are going to keep the bike a long time then it would make it original and I think matt black and orange looks nice. Would replace that pillion seat with a tail cowl though and perhaps some of that orange tape stuff around the wheel rims might finish it off?

There's a school of thought that a good respray on a common bike is helpful when you come to sell- if you're not in a hurry. You attract a different buyer, the one who wants that bike but doesn't want the run-of-the-mill ones. If there's 5 SVs in MCN for £2000 each, why would they buy yours over the others? But if there's 5 SVs and one of them has that difference, then it's suddenly in a field of one. Of course, less people might be attracted to it, which is why it's a gamble.
Think of it like a real ale pub. Nobody but my dad likes real ale, so no-one'll drink there- but if my dad comes along they've got a captive market.
