Just got an email from Mondello park letting me know that the BSB Tickets are now for sale through Ticketlord.ie. (and the BTCC)

Can't remember what I paid last year but I think they have went up a bit and there seems to be no centre transfer option available unless you go for a Grandstand seat.

Looks like another email to Mondello for clarity.

When is the BSB on?

Wouldnt mind going down to it if it didnt clash with races up here.

thats good i havent anything planned for that weekend yet. I suppose you would really need to buy tickets in advance, or is there a chance you can go down and pay on the gate?

I am going down to Mondello on the 19th watch the Clubmans racing. Thats the first time i have ever been at Mondello. All being well i might ride at the 2day ISB meeting 10/11 June, just have to see how things go before then  hopefully i wont have bent it. :)

Mondello is a good circuit. I only went for the 1st. time a couple of years ago and make it a regular trip now for the BSB and the BTCC.

They say you are able to buy at the gate although I always like to get them booked, paid for and out of the way. That way I know they are sorted.
I will go with my brother and the 2 kids and camp over on the Saturday night. That way its not all driving and generally a good Saturday night.

Drop Mondello an email if you have any queries, they are usually quite good at answering any questions.

Hi Morty

Thought you would've been at the track day on Sunday. It was a really good day. One Fireblade got buried at Debtors, :( unfortunately i dont know how the rider is, i dont think the ambulance left so that in itself is a good sign.

Sat 25th Mar at Kirkistown my first outing in the 400 class. My main aim is to get qualified. The really big thing will be to learn the track and try to get a bit of experience among fast bikes. It's a lot different from a track day, but you have to start somewhere. Some clubs will have a Non Qualifiers race time permitting, so i should get one race in the afternoon. At least there are 2 practice sessions in the morning (untimed and timed).

As for having the cash :( every penny goes into buying something for it - transponder, tyre warmers, generator, etc, etc - not easy when i have to support myself as well as the bike, but having said that there are no regrets about doing this. The races i get to will be down to how long the funds last - but that is the same for most people.

They say "Everyone has their own way of going mad" - I've found mine

Couldn't make it on sunday, meant to go but ended up I could'nt. Good luck with the racing, will have to get speaking to you some time to find out more info about it. I will have to come up and see the racing, should be good. Ive just got a new house so I won't be able to afford anything until I get it rented out.

I have mine booked for raceday, grandstand, paddock... prices are dearer than any BSB round though for some reason.

Hey Alan

Did you make it on Sunday? I was talking to Sean - it was really good to meet up again. The weather was colder than Brass Monkey weather  bitterly cold so not much good for the racing especially on cold tyres - too many offs and the guys having to wait about for restarts didnt help much, but the racing was good when it got going.

Think i will wait for warmer weather before headin back to Mondello.
